First of all, the good news- no J-P marriage, not yesterday, not now, not never. We are all J-B despos (at least 95%) and would probably leave KS if JW or Bani marry any one but each other. But face it there is nothing unethical or immoral in a B-AD, BP or BT marriage or JW marrying Rosh or Sonali or Sarlaben. But a J-P marriage would have been morally repugnant and disgusting. Thank God for small mercies.
For once yesterday I wept more for Munni than for Munna. Now we can keep arguing till the cows come home as to who was more at fault but the fact is that ultimately it is Bani who will suffer more than JW. She has lost each and everything that she valued- her love, husband, family, sisters, home, identity, her faith in the values she held dear. And of course both her kids. How I had wished that at least one of her kids could have been smuggled across to her. It is not as if JW has not lost anything (although his detractors will insist that he has never loved his wife, so he has really lost nothing) but he has got at least somethings to live for. I am not referring to WM/WC/GFNs for whatever they are worth. But he has got his kids with him and more importantly even if Bani is gone, the love that they shared will always remain intact with him. His love and his kids will see him thru. Sadly for Bani it will only be her hatred and desire for vengeance against JW and Pia which will sustain her. In the next 5 years, Bani will have paid a price, which will atone many many times over for whatever misdeeds that she has done- banigiri, jasoosi, babysitting and bhootworshipping-
It is quite certain that Bani will come back for revenge. I have often bashed Bani for her past misdeeds but I will never hold a vengeance against JW in the current circumstances against her. After all, the evidence against JW is very, very strong- burkha, framing her for murder, putting her in an asylum, marrying Pia. Some of you will no doubt argue that shouldn't she smell a rat. How could a person who risked his life to pull her out of fire or a riot or a person who made over his entire business to her and whose repentance was genuine could ever do such a thing? But under the current circumstances can we really expect Bani to think rationally? Would it be fair on our part?
She will have her revenge on JW no doubt (I don't give a damn about Pia, she will rot in hell anyway)- strip him of his business, his money, his house, his kids and possibly even frame him for murder like she herself was framed. She will succeed. Either because Bani-AD duo will have more power and brains on their side than JW's team or simply because in a Sujal like fashion, JW may simply choose to self-destruct. But much as I had always wanted a KTH-II, I do not want it repeated now. Not because of what it will do to Munna but for what it will do to Munni herself. Yes, it would be gross cruelty and injustice to JW no doubt but I guess he will accept it as a price for Bani's happiness. But what about Bani? What happens to her after her vengeance is over and she finds that JW is (basically) innocent. She would stand diminished in the eyes of many of her well-wishers, in the eyes of her kids but most importantly she would fall in her own eyes. It would be a terrible tragedy if after losing almost 8 years of her youth and spending 5 years living in an emotional and spiritual hell, she ended up getting saddled with the guilt of destroying an innocent man, a man who for all his failings as a husband and man, perhaps gave her the most unconditional and unquestioning love of her life.
Maybe here we can look forward to the little angels- Arjun and Krishna playing a role. Should she be in a real rudra avatar, hopefully their tender hands would hold Bani's and guide her away from hatred and revenge to Truth and Love.
Coming to AD. In his first scene with Bani post her consciousness, did I see an image of Pia flash across his eyes as he looked at Bani. Or were my eyes or brains playing tricks with me? At this point of time it seems unlikely that AD could be a positive character- he would seem to be someone who has an old grudge against JW or maybe just wants to destroy JW so that he can take over WC. But with Kektaa mayee you never know.
