Abhi's stag party a super hit!
Scene & heard
Boys will be boys and Abhishek Bachchan and his pals proved just that on Tuesday night. His close pals like Sikander Kher and Rohan Sippy organised a stag party for AB's baby on Tuesday night.
Women, apparently, were not allowed entry. And, thank God for that, as our sources claim some of the boys were so drunk that they passed out and were moved to the Bachchans' third bungalow in Juhu called Amu.
Meanwhile, security is tight outside the other Bachchan bungalows Prateeksha and Jalsa with the mehendi scheduled for tonight.
Sources say that Sufi singer Rahet Fateh Ali Khan will perform on the big day tomorrow, belting out famous numbers from 'Kalyug', 'Omkara' and 'Namastey London'.
Incidentally, his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a part of Ash's first film 'Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya'.
Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and members of the Bachchan family were in attendance at the party that went on till the wee hours, the sources said.
The family is now gearing up for the sangeet ceremony ahead of Abhishek's wedding to Aishwarya Rai on April 20. The sangeet ceremony will be a grand affair, rivalling many Bollywood item numbers.
The groom and the bride will perform to the strains of their hit number "Kajra Re", while the couple's friends, including Kirron Kher and director Karan Johar, will dance to Bollywood hit songs.
It appears the couple is taking the sangeet ceremony, set to begin at 7.30 pm on Wednesday, very seriously, as was evident from the fact that both practised their dance moves till late in the night.
The ceremony will be out of bounds for everyone but the invitees. The Bachchans have gone so far as to sound-proof the specially constructed mandap where the ceremony will be held.
Barricades have been put up outside the venue and police put on alert as the first leg of the wedding celebrations gets underway.
