'Hazel eyes' for one man a term of endearment and for another man nothing but sadness/ hurt/ anger/ helplessness.

Hoping for khushi's sake that endearment replaces sadness for Hamesha!

Love the way you are treating the story...it will be an emotional ride not just for Khushi but for Arnav as well as they lay their demons of the past to rest.

I am sure you will do a great job of taking this story to its rightful end.

Read part 2 and 3... wonderfully written! Really sorry for khushi's past but i just love the 'hazel eyes' endearment, 'hazel' more so. I see there's a new twist coming up between the doc and the sick, and I like that!! Keep up the good work!!

P.S. Part 3 ended rather abruptly...

There's more to it than meets the eye. I feel there's more to khushi's story than just her alcoholic father. I might be wrong but ... khushi till now has been emotionally detached with other patients ... just doing her duty ... her self confidence seems to have been affected as well.
Did I hear an ultimatum from Arnav as well ... he would wait patiently till he is discharged. It's upto khushi now to decide whether she'll confide in Arnav and heal herself in the process as well or not.

First of all, thank you for the comment!

Khushi is a very complicated character for me, and her thought process is not always easy to explain without revealing everything.

I tired to show that she is deeply scarred by her past, and that her past has in turn fueled the profession she is in, but of course Arnav doesn't know this. You are right, there is more to her, but it's more to do with her personal demons than anything else, something she will confront when the time is right with Arnav.

Arnav's ultimatum of sorts is born out of concern as he knows that something is wrong and its human nature to be curious and try to help people. That is exactly what he is trying to do, help her confront her issues in his way. He isn't a psychologist, just a curious man who wants to explore his feelings, and our scarred Khushi is afraid of doing just that, how does she open her heart to all the wounds she has harboured over the years? Lets not forget, besides her Bua she has not experienced love, she doesn't know what it means to have a stable family, both of her parents died on her birthday. So she is a true contradiction, she works in a field to do with emotions, when she fights to bottle her own.

What perhaps also didn't come across is that Khushi treats every patient with all her heart, and this troubles Arnav, as no doctor ever does this, it doesn't pay to be so emotionally involved as it can cloud your rationality. This is why he wants to know more about her

Oh wow he saw more to her than others

Something which maybe her colleagues didn't see

But does he know or wanna know why he wants to know her

Why her wanting to tell her reason of doing this profession should matter

After all she is just his psychologist

But of course there is more to it than that right

Not only is she his doctor but she fascinates him too

So Arnie is ready to battle his demons

And figure his doc out too

Maybe khushi too can finally let go of her past

And seek solace in him by telling her about what he wants to know

He knows she will

Wow he was quick to read her

Hope they both find their solace in one another

And things Get better for them

Also they understand their growing feelings for one another

It felt good to see Arnav determined to make it through his therapy.

And he seems equally determined to break down his doctor's barriers too.

Half his battle is already won.

Once one makes up one's mind to get rid of an addiction, the rest follows through.

Arnav seems to have guessed there is a reason why Khushi chose to work at this rehabilitation center.

And why she hates her hazel eyes.

And doesn't celebrate her birthday.

Khushi will surely not be able to resist a determined Arnav.

Waiting now to see how he will through to her and make her confess the sad story of her life to him.

Then her healing too will commence.

Lovely story, Manreet.

It touches the heart somewhere!
