The twists and turns of Ash's turbulent love life have all the making of a melodrama. At least, upcoming director Shakeel Saifee thinks so. As this seems like a good time as any to cash in on the hype and hoopla of the wedding, he is set to launch a film curiously titled, Aishwarya Rai. No guesses for the plot - it is a love triangle revolving around Ash, Abhishek and the ex, Salman. Interestingly, the invite for the mahurat of the film comes in the form of a wedding card. The film predictably is about the much talked-about wedding.
Shakeel says, "I am a huge fan of Aishwarya and she has set high standards for people to follow. She has lived life on her own terms and is very successful, just like her soon-to-be father-in-law, Amitabh. This film is my wedding gift to her. I wish I could work with her in future, but until then I have signed Ashwini Kale, who is a 'carbon copy' of Aishwarya."
About the plot, Shakeel says, "The film is a love triangle about Ash and Salman and how finally, she finds true love in Abhishek. Another character, based on Vivek Oberoi, features in the film. It is a commercial film and the characters are similar to real-life characters."
Sounds like a publicity stunt? He says, "No, it is not. Like I said, I have immense respect for her. I am launching the film now as I want to gift her something.
