CHAPTER-5.

Veera had not taken six to seven steps,when suddenly she felt her world tilt,as she was picked up and carried on the broad shoulders of none other than Baldev just like a sack..

With her head behind his shoulder,and her stomach on it,she squirmed to be set free..

"BALDEVA!!!CHADDHDH MAINU!!!CAHDDHDH TU!

[BALDEVA!!!LET GO OF ME!!!LET ME GO!]"She screamed in vain..

But to her utter dismay he turned a deaf ear to all her screams,and strode fast carrying her as easily as if she weighed nothing more than cotton filled pillow..

Veera shook with every large step he took,her stomach hurting with the constant bumping..

"BALDEVA!Kam se kam dheere to paid rakh!Meri pet mei dard ho raha hai!UFF!

[BALDEVA!Atleast walk slowly!My stomach is hurting!UFF!"She moaned out,as her head and legs flayed constantly,dangling from both sides of his wide shoulder,as her hands tried to hold onto him tightly clutching his blue kurta.

At her words,his steps slowed finally.

Veera let out a sigh of relief,as he kept her request and moved slower now.

Suddenly her nails dug into his back,making him intake a sharp breath..Out of her own a naughty twinkle came to her eyes,and a mischievous smile curved her soft lips,as her head kept lolling behind his shoulder..

Congratulations Veera!Plan-2 successful!The lion took the bait!She thought to herself,still grinning mischievously.

The grin however vanished completely replaced by an expression of utter innocence and maidenly shock at his caveman attitude,as he plomped her down on the passenger seat of his jeep.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING BALDEVA?!"She screamed out loud,nearly covering her mouth shut just after that.

That was too loud Veera!You want to act innocent but not call the entire village here!You want seduce and provoke him to notice you,not scream rape!!!She reprimanded herself,thanking God at the same time that no one,especially her Veerji had not heard her..

She let out a soft sigh of relief,as no one appeared,and then turned her eyes angry to look at Baldev..

"T u sher hai ki gorilla?!Kabhi dekha hai tainu kisi sher ko apni sherni nu aise kandho pe uthate?!

[Are you a lion or a Gorilla?!Have you seen any lion carrying his lioness on his shoulder like this?!]"She snapped out.

Not realising she had just called herself his lioness..

His eyes glittered at her words,as he stood by her,beside the car..

"Sher main hu!Apni sherni nu kandho pe uthau ya godi mei khilau!Meri marzi!Tainu ki?!

[I am the lion!I can carry my lioness on my shoulder,or carry her around in my arms!My wish!What is your problem?!]"He gritted out,moving his face closer to hers,as Veera stared back at him not blinking for a second.

They stared daggers at each other for a few seconds,when suddenly both of their eyes widened at the same time,as they realised they had just called themselves each other's mate..

A tinge of pink touched both their faces,as they turned away in embarrassment.

Baldev was really embarrassed and to cover it up,he quickly strode to the driving seat,and getting on it,he quickly turned on the ignition and started driving off.

After a few minutes,Veera spoke up again..

"Tainu ho ki gaya hai Baldeva?Mainu kaha le ja raha hai?Mainu phir se kidnap karne ki plan hai ki?

[What happened to you Baldeva?Where are you taking me?Are you again planning to kidnap me?]"She asked softly,but Baldev kept looking at the road,so missed the twinkle in her eyes,and also the smile that touched her lips..

"Chupchap baithi reh tu!Rab ne itti vaddi vaddi aankhein di hi,usse chupchap dekhte jaa main kaha le jati hu tussi!

[Sit quietly!God has given you such large eyes,with those just see where I am taking you!]"He said in his usual angry voice,making Veera turn the other way and grin even broader to herself.

After about twenty minutes,he took a turn and drove into a jungle road,and this time Veera frowned in confusion,sitting straight in her seat.

Where was he taking her?!!She gulped down a knot of tension and studied his handsome profile..

Was he planning to..?No..He could not be like that..Twigs and brambles scratched the side of the jeep,as they sped past them.

She knelt a bit to the inside to avoid being scratched since the jeep was an open one.

She gasped out in shock,as she suddenly felt his hard hand round her shoulder..

As she turned wide confused eyes to his..He saw him still looking at the road,but his hand pulled her closer to his body..

Understanding dawned,with a soft warmth entering her heart..A soft glow entered her eyes,as she watched his handsome profile,while simultaneously the thought crossed her mind that he was trying to protect her from being scratched..

The rest of the way she kept staring at his face,as she leaned into the warmth of his tight hold and hard body.

A few minutes later he passed her an uncomfortable look..

"Mere moon pe kuch laga hai ki?Ya mujhe kha jaane ki plan hai?Aise ghur kiu rahi hai mainu?

[Is something stuck to my face?Or do you plan to eat me?Why are you staring at me like this?]"He asked in his as usual angry voice.

Veera just gave him a sweet smile,and looked away..Her head still resting on his broad shoulder,his hand still on her shoulder,while he drove with one hand..

Baldev's heart started beating fast,and his breath nearly stopping at the glow of her sweet smile..

He quickly turned his eyes back to the road,as his hand round her shoulder tightened slightly..

The wind was making some of her soft open hair,tickle his face,as her head rested on his shoulder..But strangely instead of getting irritated he was loving it..

A soft smile came on his lips,as he sneaked a look at her beautiful face..He did not know what was suddenly happening to him,but he was truly loving it more and more..

Finally he stopped the jeep at a clearing,and Veera frowned,as she could not understand where they were and why they were there..

It was completely dark inside the jungle now,but Baldev had not turned on the headlight yet,as there was light on the road while they were driving..

As Veera looked around in confusion,she did not notice Baldev studying her expression,when he turned on the headlight to high beam..

Veera's eyes rounded in wonder and a soft gasp escaped her lips,as she saw the scene before her..A warm feeling of absolute wonderment and thrilling happiness filled her heart,as her eyes took in the view before her eyes..

It was a clearing of grasslands surrounded by beautiful wild flower bushes all around..It seemed as if someone had created this place in the middle of the wild jungle,with their own two loving hands for a romantic escapade..

Baldev waited for her reaction,and when she turned her face towards him,his heart nearly stopped..

She had a completely blank expression..

His heart was squeezing out in pain,and frustration of failure yet once again,when her expression changed to one of extreme beaming joy..

The warmth of her smile,was jsut melting some invisible walls round his protected heart,when suddenly she hugged him tight with all her strength..

The walls around his heart shattered to pieces,as he completely stopped breathing ,and a liquid warmth started seeping into his heart,as her soft body clung to his..While her soft slim hands round his waist made his body heat up..

He knew he was getting lost,when slowly his hand moved up and curved round her waist draped in saree,and he hugged her back,as a soft smile came on his lips,and his eyes closed in satisfaction,slowly caressing the top of her head,and her soft locks with his bearded cheek..Loving the feel,touch and smell of her..Everything about her was already driving him crazy..
