I have often wondered what the ladies of the society do apart from shopping for vegetables, kitty party, and participating in society events. Have never seen then helping their children with studies. Or taking the children to any activity which generally the ladies in big city are busy with or even doing other chores like banks, paying bills.
Why don't they work ?
Madhavi - the only one who has a small business of her own which is Admirable!
Daya - i don't expect her to work as the kind of background she has, the ladies don't work outside. They are busy cooking and doing household work.
Komal - have seen her helping Dr Hathi occassionally.
Roshan - God knows what she does whole day except telling sodhi not to party? I have not seen many Parsi ladies who do not work.
Anjali and Babita are the ones who surprise me most as they seem well educated and capable of doing more in their life. But all they do is exercise, diet or go shopping which is also fine but whole day? And they don't even have children that they can claim to be busy.
Sometimes I feel it is highly regressive.
