The silence of midnight, the thick cold air, and the moon was hidden behind the gust of dusky clouds. Her beautiful brown twinkling eyes, starred up at the sky in search for a solution to her unjust and cruel life. She laid there still unable to flinch a muscle, yet deeply continued to inhale the nights cold air, meditating herself to forget, and think of tomorrow. She didn't dare to close her eyes, it was not in her nature to run away from problems, no matter how bitter the truth is, how pitiful her destiny maybe, she will not give up. That's the one and only Laajwanti.
It has started raining heavily, the weather was frightful, but she was long lost in her past.. unaware of her surroundings, where someone watched her from far, in frustration but unable and helpless to face her although he was no less than an hero, shining armour. Thunder light lighted up the stormy dark night sky,and he swept away pouring rain water off his face, continuing to stare at her, it deeply saddened him to see her in pain like this.
She was completely soaked but she did not care, she wanted to free herself today from all those incidents that connected her to that wicked event which took away her happiness. let the rain wash away her ill-fate and hope for a better tomorrow. She uttered few lines -
"Guzaare the jo lamhe pyaar ke,
Hamesha tujhe apna maan ke,
To phir tune badly kyoon ada,
Ye kiu kia!"
Her chain of thoughts were broken by a sudden loud scream which came from 2nd floor bedroom. Laajo rushed inside only to find, the girl watching horror movie.. and he was there too hiding under the covers. She was relieved, as she was about to leave, the girl hugged her from back and spoke "Have you been crying again? You know you are my strength. You said you would teach me to be like you. This guy (pointing towards him who was still under covers) is totally useless"
Laajo buried the pain back inside and turned around to face the girl, and answered "haan haan hum jaante hai, humari rajkumari ko khule aasman mein udd na hai, lekin uss k liye brave ban na parega. Horror movie dekh kar hawa tight ho jayegi toh kaise uddogi? "
At the back, he was quietly listening to a concerned woman's answer. He asked himself whether he will ever understand how she can push aside her own pain to bring smile on his rajkumari's face.
Hmm saachi.. Ok! When you are here, I have nothing to worry about. you know what, I keep telling everyone I am rajkumari of Jhansi ki rani. - Said the girl.
Laajo then realised, that she got this opportunity to start fresh and live for those who are dependent on her. She made up her mind, she will seize every chance to be happy and fight her ill fate.
His voice brought her back to reality "Yeh kya, mere toh kisi k koi fikar hi nahi? very bad" he spoke while lying on the bed.
Laajo smiled and told her to sleep as beautiful tomorrow waits yet again to unfold the unexpected... with new sunrise.
