Scene: A House at night
A nanny puts a kid to sleep and then goes to the kid's mother's bedroom to watch TV.( she watches Adalat š)
She looks behind to see a scary looking joker. She senses that it's moving closer and closer to her. She runs down and calls her employer. She says that the joker statue in their bedroom is moving. The lady days that there's no joker statue in the house. While speaking on the phone, the nanny again sees the joker. She drops the phone, runs and tries to hide but the joker catches and kills her.
CID team arrives. They find the nanny seated on a rocking chair with blood all over her body. Abhijeet wonders why a joker had to kill a nanny. The couple(Mr and Mrs Lalit) who employed the nanny explain how the nanny had told them about a joker before the phone got disconnected.
Sachin suggests that if someone had come in a joker's costume people outside would have noticed him. Abhijeet asks Sachin and Purvi to ask around.
Nikhil calls Abhijeet and shows him a door on the upper floor of the house where the bolt had been cut open with a gas cutter. Abhijeet concludes that the joker had wanted to enter without making noise and that this is a planned murder.
A guy at a chat shop tells Sachin and Purvi that he had seen a joker walking around. He shows the direction in which the joker had gone. Sachin and Purvi run in that direction. They find a joker on the street. Sachin and Purvi point their guns at him.
Suddenly about 15 jokers wearing similar costumes and make up surround Sachin and Purvi. They say that they were asked to make Sachin and Purvi laugh and that a production company had given them this job. Purvi asks for the name of the company. One of the jokers says that he doesn't know the name of the company but gives the address.
Sachin notices smoke coming out of a dustbin some distance away. He opens the dustbin to find a joker's costume in it partly burnt. He realises that the killer joker had sent the other jokers to distract them.
Scene: Lab
Salunkhe tells the cops that looking at the manner in which the nanny's blood had splattered on the floor he feels that she was already seated in the rocking chair before she was stabbed. Abhijeet asks why she had not struggled and tried to escape as there were no signs of any struggle. Salunkhe says that her blood contained a high quantity of Hymo glekia (sorry about this name. I didn't get it) which had paralyzed her. Salunkhe shows a mark near her neck where this drug was injected into her body.
Scene: Bureau
ACP, Abhijeet and Daya discuss the case. Abhijeet says that none of the 15 jokers had any criminal record or a reason to kill the nanny. ACP asks Purvi took check the criminal records to see if there was any criminal who had worked in a circus.
ACP suggests that they should check with the agency which had sent the nanny Tripti to the couple's house.
Freddie comes in and says that the production company's address which the 15 jokers had given was a fake.
Purvi shows the record of one Gorang who was working in a circus and had been jailed for some offence. ACP asks her to pull out the history of Gorang.
Scene: Nanny agency
The manager tells Sachin, Purvi and Nikhil that Tripti had joined Lalit's house only a week back. CID team find it odd that within a week the killer had made elaborate plans to kill her - the gas cutter, jokers etc and murdered Tripti on a night when Lalit and his wife were out for dinner. The manager also days that Tripti was new to the city and had no enmity with anyone in the city or the agency.
Sachin asks the manager if there was any unusual incident in their agency in the last few days. She says that there was a theft a few days back and some cash was stolen from the cupboard. Sachin asks her where the information on nannies was stored. She says it is stored in the computer in the same room. Sachin concludes that the theft of cash was only a cover up and the actual intention of the thief was to get information about the nanny.
Sachin asks her how the thief had come in. She says that the thief had ended by cutting the bolt of the window. Sachin finds that the window's bolt was cut the same way as the door in Lalit's house., meaning the guy who killed the nanny Tripti and the guy who broke into the agency was the same.
Sachin says that the killer was on the lookout for nannies who satisfy some condition and that all nanny agencies should be alerted.
Scene: A house
A guy is seen putting on joker's make-up and costume.
Abhijeet, Shreya and Pankaj arrive. The house has the nameplate of Gorang. The door is unlocked. CID team enters and starts searching for Gorang. Shreya goes to the first floor. Gorang hears her coming and arms himself with a hammer. When Shreya enters he tries to attack her. Abhijeet and Pankaj arrive there and point their guns at him. Abhijeet asks why he had killed Tripti, but Gorang says he doesn't know any Tripti. He admits that he sells drugs, but isn't involved in any murder. Shreya searches the house and finds drugs packets.
Abhijeet asks Gorang where he was last night. Gorang says that he was performing in the circus and they could phone the circus company and verify.
Pankaj finds a photo of 4 jokers standing together where one of them resembled the joker who killed Tripti. Abhijeet asks Gorang as to who was this joker. Gorang says that it's a guy by name Anupam who had left the circus long ago.
Scene : Anupam's house
Abhijeet, Shreya and Pankaj search the house but find only the picture of the joker and his costume which matched that of the killer. Shreya suggests that he might have gone to kill his next victim.
Abhijeet turns on the answering machine and hears a message asking Anupam to come to North End auditorium and that the kids would be ready at 4:30. Shreya says it's already 4:30. Abhijeet calls Sachin and asks him to rush there.
Scene: Auditorium
Purvi shows the photo of the joker to the organiser Rajesh and asks him if this joker was there. He says that the joker was present in the green room. CID team rushes to the green room and finds the joker telling a story to 2 kids and their nanny. Sachin asks Purvi to take the kids and the nanny out and questions the joker. The joker denies knowing Tripti or murdering her.
Purvi asks him where he was last night. He says that he was alone in his house. Sachin doesn't quite believe him.
Anupam says that someone else could be imitating his style and committing murders. He mentions an incident 20 years back when another joker had copied his costume.
Purvi searches the room but doesn't find anything. Nikhil finds a box full of knives. The joker says that the knives are for juggling. Sachin asks Nikhil to send them to the lab. At that time he gets a call saying that another nanny has been murdered.
Scene: Murder spot
The nanny Jagruti had been killed exactly the same way as Tripti - on a rocking chair. The owner of the house Archita says that she was at work when she tried to call home. Since there was no response she called the nanny and when even she wasn't responding Archita rushed home to find Jagruti dead. Purvi finds a window whose bolt was cut the same way as the one in the house where Tripti was killed. ACP concludes that the culprit is a serial killer.
Scene: Bureau
ACP, Purvi and Freddie discuss the case. They find it surprising that both Tripti and Jagruti had worn similar aprons. Purvi says that Lalit and his wife said that they had not given any apron to Tripti. Freddie says that the murderer might be putting on the apron after killing the nannies.
Abhijeet shows 2 packets which they had found in the nannies' rooms. He says that thought Lalit and Archita had not given their nannies any apron, the nannies found them in their rooms and might have thought that their employer had given it to them. He says that looking at the way the killer was following the same pattern - gas cutter, rocking chair, apron, he was surely a psychopath serial killer.
ACP says that the killer had a certain image of a nanny in his mind and wants her to look exactly like that before he killed her.
ACP asks Purvi to find out if any other nanny had been killed prior to Tripti in the same fashion.
Abhijeet gets a call that both aprons were made by Royal Line Fabrication.
Purvi checks the records and says that a nanny by name Kaveri was killed 2 months back in the same way and even her body had Hymo glekia (whatever). ACP asks her to get more information about Kaveri.
Scene: A house
CID team reaches the house where Kaveri used to work as nanny 20 years back. A lady opens the door. CID team asks her if this was the house of Ranvijay and Vinita. The lady says that they used to stay there a years back. Then they ask about Kaveri. The lady says that Kaveri used to be Rihan's nanny. Abhijeet asks her if there is any photo of Kaveri. The lady finds an old family album and shows the picture of Kaveri. Kaveri is seen wearing the same apron in the pic.
Abhijeet asks the lady as to what sort of a person was Kaveri. The lady says that Kaveri was a hot tempered lady and Rihan was always scared of her.
Abhijeet asks her how had Rihan's parents died. She says that a fire had broken out when Kaveri left the iron on the bed while ironing clothes and it had caught fire. Rinhan's parents died while Kaveri and Rihan escaped. The lady says that she never believed the story because Kaveri never ironed clothes and it was Rihan's mother who always did it.
Shreya gets a call and walks away. Pankaj shows a photo of a joker in the album who resembled the killer joker. The lady says that Kaveri often wore a joker's costume and told her and Rihan stories when they were young and Rihan hated the story sessions. Pankaj reminds Abhijeet about Anupam who told them how someone had copied his costume 20 years back. Pankaj also shows a picture of Kaveri wearing the same apron which Tripti and Jagruti had worn.
Abhijeet thinks that it could be Rihan who first killed Kaveri and then started killing other nannies too.
Shreya comes back and says that the aprons which Tripti and Jagruti wore were made of a material which was popular 20 years back and were specially ordered by one Amit. Shreya had got the phone number and features of this Amit. Abhijeet asks Shreya to trace Amit. He asks the lady where was Rihan now. The lady says that Rihan had vanished after finishing school and never contacted her or any other friends.
Scene: A colony
Shreya says that Amit's number is located in this area. Abhijeet, Pankaj and Shreya reach Amit's house but find it locked. Suddenly Amit reaches there, sees CID team and runs away. CID team chases and catches him. Amit says that he placed the order for the aprons on behalf of Rajesh. Pankaj informs Sachin and Nikhil.
Scene: Road, Sachin driving an Innova, Nikhil seated beside him.
Nikhil says that Rihan had changed his name to Rajesh.( This Rajesh was present at the auditorium. Check above)
Sachin says that if Rajesh was killing nannies who behaved badly with children he would again target nannies who were not nice to children. He asks Nikhil to find if there was any complaint against Tripti and Jagruti. Nikhil checks the records on his tablet and finds that there were indeed complaints against both of them. Sachin asks Nikhil to find out which other nannies had complaints against their names.
Scene: A house.
A nanny is heating milk in the kitchen when she hears the kid crying. She's goes to the kid's room but finds him sleeping. She is about to go back to the kitchen when she hears a wild laughter. She gets scared, arms herself with a flower vase and looks begins a curtain to find a toy making the laughing noise. She goes down and finds the joker standing with an injection. She begs him to spare her, but he tries to inject her with the medicine. Exactly at that moment CID team arrives, Nikhil comes sliding down the floor and kicks the joker.
The joker Rihan alias Rajesh confesses that he had killed Kaveri because she used to trouble him a lot and ridicule him. She was the reason he lost his parents. ACP asks why he had not complained to his parents if Kaveri was troubling him. Rihan says that he tried but no one believed him. He developed a hatred for nannies after this and decided to kill all nannies who troubled small children.
ACP says that Rihan had no right to take the law into his hands and says that he would get phaasi for committing 3 murders.
