"Thou shall never ever seek to marry someone out of love."

"Thou shall always marry someone out of some sort of compulsion."

"Thou shall marry someone to protect their dignity and honor or for the sake of revenge."

"Thou shall under no circumstance consummate such a marriage for the first two years or until you are remarried to the same person."

"Thou shall never sleep on the same bed during this period."

"Thou shall be allowed to creepily stare at the face of your spouse from a distance of 3 feet."

"Thou shall prioritise winning over the love of your extended bitchy family more than winning over the love of your spouse."

"Thou shall be allowed to indulge in unlimited eye-sax up until the period of consumashun."

"Thou shall fall in love gradually with your spouse."

"Thou shall remarry your already wedded spouse with pomp, splendor & high-voltage drama."

"Thou shall be expected to behave like celibates after the act of consumashun."

"Thou shall get pregnant the first time you consummate."

"Thou shall undergo a magical pregnancy for nearly 15 months, where thou shall not sport a bump even while pregnant."

"Thou shall never live happily ever after and continue to face the trials & tribulations of life."

This one really cracked me up..! So true..even at the expense of the love of the spouse the female leading ladies are maintaining relations with saas sasur nanad devar etc..not allowed to ask how those relations came about if not for the pati!

And even more hilarious is how they all taunt and make each other cry but become a 'family' under the 'kabhi khushi kabhi gham' umbrella whenever there is a festival to be celebrated! And the background music is usually one representing culture and unity!!!..lol..

But seriously no marriage on any tv show atleast of late seems to be normal..if arranged the couple don't agree...if love the parents don't agree..if neither the world does not agree!!
