She was bleeding when she jumped into well, AND she had just got "taja khurak" the night before on Shiv Ratri so she was probably full of poison
When she jumped into pool she had just come in and was trying to get closer to Jalal, since at that time her chosen way of killing him was not biting but kiss, she was trying to get more closer to him. So maybe she was not full of poison then, and well was small while the pool was shown to be much bigger.
Pool water was not used to drinking maybe, while well water was used for drinking immediately
