At first I thought so too, but the more I see of Rudra's memories of his mother, she seems to fit less and less. When you look back at Rudra's memories, he seems to be a central part of his mother's world as in she lovingly took care of him for 10+ years. In the memories you also see his father eating dinner while the mother is feeding Rudra and he also has a smile on his face. That to me shows that the family was happy. Rudra's behaviour as a child also points to it not being his mom. If his mom was unhappy and wanted to runaway from her life would she have been showing Rudra that much affection and attention. Wouldn't Rudra have been closer to his dad if his mother didn't want to be a mom or wife? She was active in raising him, could she that coldly just walk away from him. Could any mother? In all these years would she not once come to see him? find him? or even take him with her? Therefore I am considering an alternate theory for the mom which is I don't believe she ran away but it was made to look like she did (possibly by kakisa) but she is actually dead or hospitalized with memory problems.
The reason why thakurian doesn't fit into the Rudra mother character for me is that she doesn't seem like a person that could be that cold. To me she seems like a girl that met her fairy tale prince and married him and now living life in her rose-colored fairy tale world. The thakurian does have a past that she is not happy about, and maybe she did elope with the Thakur. But leaving behind a husband and child, she just doesn't seem like the type. Especially since she showed so much concern for Paro who isn't even her own flesh and blood. Could a mother, who loved her child ever truly be happy if she left him behind? I am sure that there will be many glaringly obvious plot points like when his name was going to be mentioned she didn't hear it because of an interruption. I bet they will have several almost meet scenes and scenes where they are not ever shown together so we are made to think that she is the mother. I really hope she's not but if it does turn out to be the thakurian then all I can say is that the lady the worst self-serving B****** alive. Pardon my French, but this is coming from a person that hates cursing and especially the use of this particular derogatory term but this is the only instance in which I would actually use it.
