You are very correct in telling

Online viewership doesnt mean only INDIA-FORUMS.COM!

But YT FB Twitter and other websites view and discussions also consist!

In a period of 2 years I have seen 2 female leads and a male lead getting replaced one male lead getting killed in serials and the serials are going on as if nothing has happened.

When leads are changed it is heart wrenching for Fans, especially for Fans from U.K., Canada, U.S.A., Gulf Countries, Australia, South Africa etc.

Protests from fans, going on twitter, posting petitions, Calling Channel, sending emails etc nothing works.

This is extremely Sad but true.

Channels don't care. That is the way things work (in India)

People in India don't have the time to worry that leads are changed. They have too many problems in their daily life. Students have to study, go for coaching classes, extra curricular activities etc. People have lots of things going on in career front. Ordinary people are also busy in their own individual problems.

So when leads are changed some Viewers stop watching that particular serial for sometime and switch channels. Then after some weeks if they want to know where the story is going they will watch.

That is the reason T.V. Channels don't care when viewers either in India or from overseas protest. They tell the viewer see the serial if you want to. otherwise change channel.

We don't care. We will do what we want to do. That is it.

T.V. Channels and P.H.'s don't have any empathy for Fans/Viewers.

Nice post Yaari...
A show caters to a wide range of audience, each watching for a different reason... some might leave the show when they r not interested while some might join in when they see something they like...
And yes online viewership is not dictated by IF alone... there r many sources like u mentioned...
I for one have been watching the show from day 1... drooling over the amazing scenes... cribbing and ranting over the crappy scenes or tracks but still never missed an epi and hopefully will stand by the show till the last epi...
