Many people expressed disgust about the show being regressive but I found the show very very realistic and close to middle class ethos in towns and villages. And men like Samrat exist in abundance there who are chauvinist, self-centred, materialistic and behaving like alpha males. Rest of the family members are just means to satisfy their needs and egos. And wives are expected to serve them meekly and obediently and be ready to bed them at the drop of hat.Samrat's conditioning is a typical middle class patriarchal feudal chauvinist alpha male who selfishly keeps his needs above the rest and wants others to dance to his tunes.Since his father and brother are different from him, I feel his mother has a bigger role in moulding him this way.
I would request creatives to make Urmi's character bold and sensible to wake up from her dreams and face reality and stand up to Samrat instead of being doormat.
And such persons do not change overnight contrary to dreamy thoughts of Mohit fans who want to see romance between Urmi and hot and bad Samrat 😉
Congrats to Mohit mallik for such real portrayal of Samrat and creatives for such a storyline to expose such men. I expect them to give a strong social message through this drama.
