Last night's episode of TVD proved anything can happen and somethings never change. Let's take it character by character ...

Katherine/Elena: She's in Elena's body and they planned to make it permanent. Now I really didn't think it would work. I really didn't think the writers would've let it get that far but they did and now the story-line gets interesting...at least from my side. Elena's been cast out of her body or maybe I don't know...she's still in there but permanently suppressed? Maybe!

But one thing's for sure she'll be back...the writers always come up with something to fix somewhat impossible situations. But being short a witch isn't helping for the Mystic Falls gang.

Caroline: I feel like I finally got her this week in regards to Klaus. Kat under the guise of Elena makes sure Tyler overhears about Caroline's indiscretion with Klaus to stir trouble. Tyler gets pissed as expected but the things he said made me think: What if Caroline suppressed her feelings for Klaus because she knew everyone would look at her differently and judge her. So when Klaus gave her an opportunity to express those feelings just once and never revisit, she took it? I think so...she's always shown signs that she didn't think Klaus was as bad as he seemed but maybe she didn't express it because she thought she'd fall in the eyes of the ones she loved..

Sidenote on Klaroline: Julie Plec said that the Klaroline scene in the 100th episode was closure for now because of the spin-off it's hard to build on the story...

My Reaction: This. Is. Not. Over!

Tyler: He has zero right to be angry. Hurt yes! Angry, Heck No! Caroline gave him a choice. Her or his revenge on Klaus. He chose Klaus but now he's judging her for choosing Klaus? Sorry Tyler you were a jerk last night! Total jerk! Stefan was right, Caroline didn't deserve that!

I do think though that Tyler should get a better story-line...it would make me more interested in the character. He's not a character I particularly care for. I think a main part of that is that he hasn't been around much and his story-line has been kinda non-existent. So I really think a good story-line might help his character.

Stefan: He's such a good person. He just wants his brother to be happy even if it's with the girl he loves. He sees how she makes Damon happy and a better person and he wants that for him. He's a great friend to Caroline and he stood up for her and made her feel better about the whole Klaus thing...👏 for Stefan for being one of the nicest guys I've seen in a vampire show 😆...I really hope he gets a love interest soon.

Damon: I've saved the best for last. Damon decided to take his little bro's advice and try to get Elena back. Enzo his blast from the past tried reminding him all episode of the Damon he used to be. So when Damon meets up with Elena(Katherine) finally, things didn't go according to plan.

So I really felt it for Damon's big speech to Elena (Kat) but Kat reasoning as Elena had some valid points. Elena shouldn't be the only reason he has to live or the only reason he tries to be good. He should do that for himself. Because he wants that himself. Damon has always had this habit to go off the deep end when his feelings get hurt and to me it seemed that in order to curb those habits and not do stuff like that anymore he needs Elena in his life. It's a lot of pressure on her and he's kind of using her as a crutch.

Eg. He spared Aaron (Is that the Whitmore guy's name, can't remember) because he knew how Elena would feel if he killed him.

Then as soon as Elena (Kat) ends things, he's up to his old tricks, Enzo, as partner in crime, and he murders the Whitmore guy on the side of the road. The lying in the road waiting for an unsuspecting good soul to stop and help; is classic Damon.

BUT I also think it's really on Elena to love Damon as he is. His love for her makes him want to be better and it's a hardship...it's a work in progress. Obviously Kat doesn't love Damon but Stefan so she ended things with Damon as Elena. But Damon has always acted out when he's hurting and he needs someone who shows him that they'll be with him through everything. The good times and bad. It was why he broke up with Elena right? Because he wanted to beat her to it. He thought she'd do it eventually because he wasn't good enough...

Does that make any sense or did I contradict myself a lot? 😆

So I guess both Katherine and Damon has their good points for Delena's relationship.

A few things I wanna see as the season progresses:

- Something really big and major to get Elena back (though she's not my favourite).

- I think Delena would mend back when Elena returns.

- Kat plans to get Stefan back...her One True Love...that would raise red flags...

- Caroline and Stefan...if no one new is gonna come in for Stefan I wouldn't mind Steroline...😳

- I want more DeFan bonding! 😉

- Oh and that knife Nadia gave to Matt...it might have something to play in getting Elena back...

umm .. i didn't watch the epi full yet took a look at pieces only .. i will soon .. but after reading everything i read .. since morning .. i think there is going to be major problems .. caroline needs to get rid of tyler .. the jerk for good .. and i guess getting klaus in her system did it for her .. tyler can go judge himself instead of judging her ... and yes if KLAUS is not coming back [ oh he should .. when i hear him say LOVE to caroline .. i go crazy] then i think caroline should hit the sack with stefan and i guess that will be quite a scene for katherine.. ok i kinda liked nadia previously but she is no less than her sociopath mother... anyway i like katherine not trying to be anybody else and just being katherine.. this whole elena katherine things is making me crazy .. and ofcourse elena is coming back .. its SED love triangle not SKD .. so lets not hold our breath .. and i think bonnie is going to get back her witchy powers somehow .. coz we ssly need a witch .. huh let me go watch and then maybe i l come back with a clear picture

i read abt the episode...m really unhappy tht Damon confessed thinking its Elena nd bloody Katherine says we r over...thts really frustrating !!!!!!!

i really really m pissed with wats happenin for Damon...i love him to bits nd i cant see tht he thinks Elena broke up with him...its heart wrenchin!!!!!

Well cos he is the one who wanted to go and get revenge on Klaus and well Klaroline was worth it 😆
And Delena jus when I thought they will get back together KATHERINNEEE 😡
I couldnt help buh feel so sad thru it 🥺
Buh I love badass Damon and I know its cos of 'Elena(Kat) he is back that way
I cannot wait for next week

honestly speaking i didn't like the epi much. it seems cv's are out of ideas.

lvd how stefan rooted for damon and even was helping him . lvd stefan and caroline bonding too...i really like them as friends more and don't want to see them as couple and why is tyler still alive?how come he is surviving till now.sorry i don't like him much.

elena breaks up with damon and suddenly he is off the tracks...that was something i couldn't digest. damon has changed a lot and then he just becomes that bad ass was not believable.

hate enjo for making him kill aaron who really didn't deserved to die and considering damon did show some compassion to him only to kill him later was pathetic.

i so agree with you . I really am fed up . I hate the TVD writers for ruining such a great show .

Damon's lets get back together speech was da BEST speech ever in tvd history. ..according to me
I felt for tyler also...man...really has nothing to live for. ..matty is a real sweet heart. ..
steroline were as usual sweet
sometimes I do think they are pakaoing us...but I read ke 3 new characters r coming

@bold - Part of the reason why I'm not really fond of DE is because Damon is supposedly better because of Elena, because he thinks Elena would want him to be better. It's not coming from a place inside himself where he thinks he should be better because he wants to be better and change for good for himself, not where he feels like he needs to do it for someone else. Because if Damon's change or desire to be better is for something other than himself, it will be short-lived, as this episode has shown. Damon said in season 2 episode 12 - "I can't be what other people want me to be." That's just it! Damon can't be what Elena wants him to be, what his brother would want him to be, or anyone for that matter, unless he wants to be that himself.

Elena doesn't need to make him a better person. She shouldn't have to live with the pressure of being Damon's reason to live or be good. What if one day, she unknowingly says something or does something that hurts him? Will he lash out at innocent people as he did in this episode? Will Elena have to constantly be on pins and needles so that she doesn't do anything to set Damon off on a killing spree?

Damon compelled Aaron to leave town because of Elena. He knew Elena was a sort of friend of Aaron's and that if she heard Damon killed Aaron or allowed Enzo to kill Aaron, she would be upset. He did it for Elena, which sounds romantic and wonderful but from his expression you could tell that, had he had the option, he wouldn't have minded ripping Aaron apart.

Kat pointed out some really good things and Damon couldn't handle it. He went off and killed Aaron. Why? He didn't kill Aaron this time because of what the Whitmores had done. This time he did it because "Elena" rejected him and broke things off. He couldn't handle the rejection and lashed out at an innocent person. It reminds me of the time when Elena rejected him in season 2 when he tried to forcefully kiss her, and she said no. Then he went and snapped Jeremy's neck, taking his anger out on Jeremy because Elena said no. And with the parallels between that and episode 5x12, it almost seems like Damon hasn't had any development at all. He still deals with rejection badly and takes it out on others. Instead, Damon should have reflected. He should try to understand what's important to him. Is it Elena? Yes, but then don't go and change yourself for the girl if that's not who you really are or who you want to be. Damon needs to try to be a better person and respect himself first.

You've really elaborated on everything I believe about Damon's character...from the start this has been his problem...he needs to learn to live for himself and want to be a better person all on his own and not use Elena as a crutch.

Because their relationship would have a very short span if he's only being good for her not because he wants to.

I've always loved Damon and wished he'd get someone who loves him for who he is and I think ...that's why I added the BUT...if Elena shows him she'll love him through every mess up as well he'll probably turn around and say "I don't have to be this way. I am capable of being better." He broke up with Elena to save himself from future pain because he's used to people walking away and rejecting him. Rejection has played a major part of his messed up psyche but acceptance might just help him change as well...
