(No no...not now...)

Part One

Yash stopped his car on the way back home near a saree shop. He walked in and looked around for the best saree on display. His eyes fell on a pink saree with had a little embroidery but wasn't too loud.

He quickly asked the lady to gift wrap the saree and drove back home happily to surprise his dear wife.

Aarti opened the door and saw a beaming Yash.

Aarti made a straight face and said: What is the need to smile now after all that you did in the morning.

Yash had been pretty rude to her that morning when Aarti tried to give him some advice on what he should be wearing to work. Aarti always wanted her husband to look as dashing as possible and in the process she ended up getting a scolding from him.

Yash: Oh Aarti, you keep disturbing my flow of thoughts with your petty stuff. Don't you realise I have such an important client to meet at work today? He is not going to look at my clothes and give me the deal.

Aarti was surprised at this outburst by Yash.

Aarti: It is okay Yash, cool down. You don't have to scream for this. It is a small matter. Please wear whatever you feel like.

She left him in that foul mood and went to attend to her daily chores.

Yash cooled down after sometime and then realised that he had been unfair to her. He came to her when she was in the kitchen.

Yash: Hey sorry dear.

He hugged her from behind and Aarti simply pushed him away.

Yash: Come on give me hug or something more or else my day won't be good.

Aarti mechanically hugged him and said: Bass...baaki abhi nahi...( That's all...rest of it...not now...)

Yash grabs her and says: Kyun nahi? Why not?

Aarti gets very angry now: You can't keep expecting me to oblige you based on your moods. Just now you screamed at me for no reason and now you want to romance. Sorry this is not done.

Yash knew she was indeed angry so he let her be.

He had his breakfast served in the most cold fashion by his otherwise sweet wife --- lesson learnt --- never take your wife for granted!!!

As he left for work, his mobile beeped. He checked the message which read: Have a nice day my dearest hubby and may you succeed in your deal ...it was followed by 'a kiss for you'!

Yash jumped on his seat and had to gather himself as Aarti had been so sweet to make him feel good instantly.

Yash however did not reply to her message.

Aarti kept waiting the whole day and wondered if he did read the message or no..and should she resend the message. Then she forgot about it after she got busy with the kids.

Yash: Okay today we are going out for dinner just the two of us, are you game for it?

Aarti: Nahi --- aaj nahi.

Yash: Make the most of the offer Aarti or else, who knows?

Aarti looked at him: What do you mean?

Yash: I am going and if I am alone you know how these girls will drool over me.

Aarti looked at him and said: You have a point there. I'll come too.

Yash smiled at his wife and said: Okay then quickly get ready.

Aarti: But I have to finish up with the kids homework and then their dinner and then...

Yash: Oh --- Oh--- Oh--- do schools give homework for kids to do or their Moms to do?

Aarti: You won't understand. Most of the time it is the Mom's who are more stressed with the projects and stuff like that.

Yash: And Dad's have a different stress!!!!

Aarti: Which ones?

Yash: Of doing everything possible to keep their wives stress free!!!

By then both had reached their rooms to get ready. Yash had convinced Aarti that she could leave the kids to fend for themselves that day.

As Aarti started taking out a saree, Yash came forward and handed the gift to her.

Aarti: What is this?

Yash: An apology...taken the form of a gift.

Aarti: Gift or bribe?

Yash: Whatever you call it just see if you like it and wear it.

Aarti opened it and was so happy as she loved it!

Aarti went to Yash and hugged him and said: Thanks a lot --- it is beautiful.

Yash: Hmm---good you liked it --- lekin yeh sab abhi nahi.( not now..)

Aarti: Phir kabhi? (Then when?)

Yash: First get ready --- then I'll tell you!
