Today, was a much better and positive episode then yesterday. Yet, Jalal's one line seem to be hanging like a black cloud- that he will not see her face even when she closes her eyes. We all know he did not mean it and it will regret it the minute the CVs decide to wrap up this Ben track. I was also fine till when Jalal said he would not enter the room as he was indirectly telling Jodha that he was doing what she wanted ...the I will not see you when you close your eyes was too much. But, in any case, the CVs want to be dramatic.
Despite this one dark cloud, there was a lot to enjoy in today's episode. Here is my take on the top 5 positives:
- My intelligent Jalal is still there somewhere : now we know what he had told Atgah to do, check Ben's room to check if what Jodha was saying was true. True it did not result in much, but so least Jalal tried. The other thing I liked was Ben thinks she has Jalal wrapped around her finger and it was Jodha that searched her room but it was actually Jalal that had her room searched. What about following her around so he could ask her what she was doing it the market just like he asked Jodha?
- Jalal gives Jodha her hojra back. I did not want Jodha to be insulted with Ben given her room. I am glad Jalal felt her pain and held her by her shoulders and took her to her room and got it back for her. His instinctive actions are always in support of Jodha and I love how he stood up for her. I am totally fine that he hid behind Ruqs audha and status to do that- didn't he always hide behind breaking her pride or winning rajvanshi support before to do things for Jodha? I also loved how Jalal out the diya back himself- there was something nice about the way he looked at Jodha for approval whether he was doing it right.
- I am beginning to see parallels between how the fake pregnancy track and this one which seems to balance out the Jalal- Jodha relationship. There, to save Jodha when she did not know the truth, Jalal Patiently bore her ghrina hatred, threats to leave. Insults to save Jodha from disgrace. Jalal even said her qubool hai to her thrums. Here, to save Jalal, Jodha is putting up with taunts, insults, and literally the work ghrina. Now, Jalal is saying a ghrina, god help us! Atthe end of the fake pregnancy track, Jalal said he did not do it out of love- similarly Jodha may not admit to the same so soon. However, I think after this track Jodha will definitely be hurt but not be mad at Jalal. She is hopefully past going back to ghrina, at least for our sake. Interestingly, Salima is a common link in nigh tracks- she helped Jalal in the fake pregnancy track and is helping Jodha now.
- the mehndi scene. I liked it for a few reasons: (1) another abshugan happened signaling that nothing will be completed properly in this wedding, starting with the dargah trip, (2) I thought Moti immediately asking if Jodha was ok made it seem even more like a genuine trip and thwarted people yelling at Jodha though it may happen tomorrow, (3) I think there is something symbolic about the mehndi for Jalal's bride went to Jodha and how Jalal will always be Jodha's.
- the parrot card reading: yet another lollipop the CVs are showing us that Ben's end is near. I hope Jodha's card shows that she will be the most beloved wife. That will certainly be the return of Ruq's jealousy.
With the rest of the mehndi ceremony taking 10 minutes of tomorrow's episode and another 10 minutes for the parrot card reading - that does not leave time for the Nikah sadly. I am guessing we will be left with another precap tomorrow where we will be debating what is dream and what is reality and dreaming of Ben's departure.
It is amazing how they have dragged this track one more whole week. I am hoping soon my posts will turn into the top 5 things like in the episode out of many good things instead of positives to cheer myself up. Luckily, those days seem near in sight.
