Games people play in the name of love. We go on and on with our games in life--- however good we try to be, these games seep in. It takes a pure soul like Laajo to be who she is , who knows when to take, when to give, when to stay and when to go.
Barkha and nani have just checked mate with their last move. Laajo has left their high society to make way for Ishaana. This is so---according to them-- that Nikhil could live the life that he needs and should live. They have planned this because they love him and think that it is the best that they can give him. Never mind that Barkha cannot find her motherly love, but she needs to find the correct wifely love for her son. Nani, loves her very disturbed daughter and needs to support her. And support her she did , in the most sly way she could.
Barkha's games were calculated ,discussed ,and planned. They were all done with the thought that it was alright because it was the right thing to do.
Her talk with Laajo just before Laajo's departure sounded good, but only to make herself feel better. For how could a woman of Laajo's caliber ever feel alright , having to go back home with a failed marriage?
Ishaana 's game still continues. Her manipulations, her wiles, her charms, all used to get her loved one back could be forgiven if she did not hurt an innocent soul so wickedly. Worst! Even as she holds the trump card in her hand she still plays her game. She wants him to continue hurting as much as she was hurt. She loved and she was hurt and so he loves her and he must hurt.
Nikhil's game ,is in his mind. He wants everything. All the cards. Sorry, dear Nikhil, that's not how its played. Some cards must be thrown down onto the table.
Now, all we need to do is to sit back and guess the game that was played 15 years ago among the older generation.
Actually, after writing this, I must guiltily admit that my soul is not as pure as my poor Laajo's. I have been playing games with my dear husband too. NOt wicked ones---I must quickly add, naughty ones. Luckily for me , he enjoys it!
