It's almost certain now that Balaji Telefilms' long-running show on Zee TV,Pavitra Rishta will see a time-slot change somewhere in the month of March. The show brought out the stars' in actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande, Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi and many others.

But now, Pavitra Rishta will be making way for Ekta Kapoor's new offering on Zee TV, which is all set to launch in March. As reported by media, Pavitra Rishta will be shifted to a new time-slot of 6.30 PM.

While this will come across as happy news' for many fans of the long-running show, this development has made one person utterly disappointed'. And that apparently happens to be Ankita Lokhande aka Archana, the lead ofPavitra Rishta.

A credible source tells us that Ankita is a bit apprehensive of continuing with the show, especially if it takes to the early evening slot of 6.30 PM. The team is presently in a bid to convince her to continue.

Also, the younger generation actors in the project, Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi who have been contemplating to quit the show for some time now, have decided to finally hang their boots in February. As of now, the creative team is trying to convince them to stay back.

For the uninitiated, Ekta Kapoor had earlier taken the creative decision of giving a younger avatar to Ankita Lokhande via her lead character of Ankita in the show. However, the post leap portion of Pavitra Rishta has not been well-accepted by fans, which has lead to a considerable drop in its ratings.

Ekta and her team had earlier succeeded in convincing Ankita to stay back when such a crisis situation had occurred. Only time will tell whether Ankita will stay on to be a part of the final phase of Pavitra Rishta.

We tried contacting Ankita, but she was busy with her shoot. We dropped a text message to know her thoughts on the time-slot change of Pavitra Rishta but did not get any revert.

We also sent a text message to Producer Ekta Kapoor, but got no response.

Let's see how the future pans out for the lead actress and the show.

I would rather wish the show to end than it to continue on a non-prime-time slot. It will be compromise on the part of everyone involved. They should give a good ending to Naren and Ankita's story so that at least their love track is not spoiled due to endless stretching of the show. The onscreen pairing too will be remembered for all the good reasons.
