I don't know.

Different astrologers say different things. Often even same astrologer said different things or even pretended as if he had not met us earlier! They change colours after getting their fees!

A lot of things said by them did not prove to be true nor remedies worked out.

I had an uncle who himself believed in everything from Lal Kitab to numerology and other general superstitions about lucky/unlucky factors. All his life he believed and followed stuff religiously but his or his family's problems never gave away. Rather their troubles only increased.

I had trashed all branches of predictive practices until recently I found a paper which was written by an astrologer and he had predicted things for next few years for me and my brother. Some of them had proven to be true! My mother had consulted that astrologer two years ago without telling us. She kept that paper also tucked away and did not perform any remedies suggested by him because she felt predictions were too drastic and maybe the guy had written it thus to instil fear or fool them.

But when we found it now, the first 2-3 of those points had come true!

Even my dad who's a skeptic and does not give weightage to such stuff was taken aback and felt perhaps this man should be consulted again or we should do remedies before his other predictions came true.

I didn't believe astro earlier but now I am confused.

There are a lot of fake ones with half baked knowledge who cheat others. You can't tell who's genuine.

I don't know for whom remedies or "timely" advice works. I have seen some astro people almost having religious followers. They might have benefitted which is why they follow those pandits/experts!

Sudden and un-anticipated turns in life make one look for reasons and explanations. So they turn to astrology, numerology, tarot and whatnot.

There might be some genuine experts with proper knowledge and gift of predicting. But that must be in olden days. Nowadays it's clearly business.

I haven't benefitted from anybody. Nor wearing any specific stone or colour helped. I gave it up.

Only recently that prediction coming true has got our family all shaken up and confused. Should we reconsider beliefs or is it just a chance?

I do not completely believe these things. Especially remedies or tips to attract luck are total sham.

Astrologers change their tune as they get more fame. They become more money minded.

Several predictions have proven wrong too. An uncle's marriage was said to be perfect. But he got divorced. Then it was predicted he would never get remarried. Yet he did get remarried. Then it was predicted he won't have kids. But he has a daughter now. In his case, not only astrologers but even religious gurus/babas proved wrong.

I think once in a while when an astrologer predicts right then big deal is made of it. Otherwise most of the time it's either exaggerated or wrong.

Nowadays it is a booming industry with several new schools and online courses coming up claiming to teach you astrology/gemology/tarot etc. in 3 days or 4 weekends and enabling you earn for whole lifetime! There are so many astro magazines and books with articles on planets, dashas, stones, gods, lucky objects, totkas etc. They write in such a way as if using their service or tips will indeed help. But it's cr*p. Even educated professionals are leaving their work to dabble in astrology and start own business.

If things go wrong or don't work, they easily tell clients it's karma or allege they must not have performed remedies correctly or they had worse fate but were saved due to remedies. Bark mumbo jumbo and shrug off responsibility.

It's 99% fake but people still keep shelling out money, even more than what's charged by doctors! They thrive on people's helplessness.

As per the history, those days they use the moon sign to predict how your week will be. R. H. Naylor was the first to start this. He use to write his prediction using the moon sign in a newspaper column. Because one if his prediction came true, he became an overnight star and everyone wanted him to see their future. But, to know a person's moon sign, you need to exactly know your birth year, time and place. This would have taken more space in the newspaper, thus they decided to use the sun sign.

Till date, no one knows whether when reading the horoscope, should we use the moon sign or sun sign. 😆
