I believe in giving a fair chance to all...so I am glad that Vinod was given an opportunity to showcase his talent on a huge platform like Nach Baliye. I also agree with the member that said he is an inspiration to many, which is very true. There was also a girl on India's got talent who danced beautifully despite having only one leg. I salute such people who prove to others that disability is not a barrier and that life goes on.

Having said that, I feel that the TM has a valid point and that somewhere down the line...Vinod and Raksha remain in the competition due to sympathy. I do not say this is in a mean way. I think it is the truth. And since this is Nach Baliye, unfortunately for Vinod he is unable to dance freely with his partner, which goes against the basis essence of the show.

I agree with everyone who said he's an inspiration and I also think same way but after first 4-5 weeks, you have to be fair with all contestants.

the only thing is that I feel like because of vinod's situation, they are being judged on something else and other contestants are being judged on something else. I don't like saying this but when you think about dancing, footwork in any type of dance is highly important. And because of vinod's situation, judges can't say anything about raksha's footwork.

All they get judged on is their whole act or their expressions and expression is only for raksha. Vinod is not judged on anything. He's judged on act only.

My reason for this post was just that all couples should be judged in same way.

You are 100% right that people are surprised and wondered but just read the title of the show, NACH BALIYE, not any talent show. In this show you should be judged on pure dancing with your baliye.

Even if I forget about other contestants and just look at vinod and raksha, she gets judged on dancing and vinod gets judged on his willpower. why cant they both be judged the same way? because of his situation.

I am not being mean but they are not the only couple in this show. There are other couples in the show and it's not fair with them.

I watch the show for pure dancing and if this show is about dancing with your partner in every way then it is definitely not fair.

I agree! With due respect to the man and his courage, I just feel so awkward in a way watching him dance! It feels as if he's torturing him self 🤢..i dont kno why! Also because of his condition he is getting sympathy votes one way or another

when I look at the show, I want some entertainment, lots of new moves in dancing. I do not want to see guy dancing who is disable. I understand vinod's situation but at this point I don't feel sorry for anyone.

one thing that keeps bothering me is that because of his situation he can't really dance with his baliye like others do. This show is about dancing with your baliye. Even though he dances with raksha, it feels like she's dancing by herself. I feel sorry for him but he can't get away with it just because of his situation.

When I gathered all acts of vinod and raksha, I noticed that vinod's moves are fixed. I mean I don't see any difference. same hand moves and same flips. Its so sad to watch him move.

I know some of you might think that I am a horrible person but I am just saying this because its a torture to see someone dancing with such situation. I salute the man for having a courage and such a positive attitude but this show is not the right place for him. Maybe he should go in India's got talent show.

Yeah, I too noticed this. Judges are harsher on Raksha because of Vinod's handicap. That's hardly fair, because even Raksha is limited on what she can do when her partner is limited due to his handicap. It's not Raksha's fault if they cannot do new dance moves each week. 🤔 I feel really bad for the way Raksha has been treated in the show. Everyone shows love and sympathy for Vinod, but Raksha is often ignored or criticized. She got praised by the judges only twice. No wonder she always looks a bit dull and disheartened.

I read the OP and was about to reply how shocked I am at the content but in fact after a few moments thought, I agree with part of the sentiment.

I fully agree They should NOT be in the final four. However they will also never win it so can be safely thought of as passengers. It's a reasonable compromise.

The reason they are there is that Vinod has been extremely praised since the start. Some of this Praise was of course justified as he really has been impressive in dealing with his handicaps but to make it look balanced they had to be over critical on Raksha.

Now the show is trapped, to not have him there for the correct reasons i.e pure dancing range/ability/variation etc. is too hard a pill to swallow and may cause too much negative publicity for SP, hence they won't do it.

On a positive note I will say I have LOVED watching them, their acts have been fantastic at times, I hugely applaud Raksha as a dancer and a human being and ditto for Vinod too, to stay smiling despite knowing how disabled he is and how much contrast audience sees (when he barely comes up next to Raksha's Legs) as they stand together, this is a very moving thing.

I beg to differ here , Whenever I have watched them , I have never thought them as disabled , and havent they done some amazing stunts /dance?. Yes ,its nach baliye , so what if one of the baliye is disabled , cant they dance together . I see their love for each other , they work hard every week to prove themselves, I have never heard them saying I have a injury , I have a problem unlike other contestants . Its Pity when people just want to look at the glamorous girls and handsome hunks. I am surprised and proud of seeing such talent on the show .

If you dont like it , better dont watch , but please dont be so insensitive to others

I just find it weird/interesting that every other jodi says "HUME vote karne ke liye call karein whatever whatever" whereas he says "MUJHE vote karne ke liye" umm...when did this turn into an individual competition?
