Your dream cast for Mahabharata ( Bollywood,Holywood,TV)

We've always wondered who would play who if we cast Mahabharata

It should be from three major industries which are Bollywood , Hollywood and Television

Either it can be solely from one industry or it can be a Mix.

hmm no one from hollywood becuase they wont look like Indians

I'd like to try Hollywood:

Yudishthir: Viggo Mortensen - nobody doubt how good he was as a noble King/ Warrior
Bheem: The Rock - have you seen his latest pic on chariot as Hercules? Perfect!
Arjun: Shahrukh Khan - must give tribute to India in the position of central character, plus we could have a darker Arjun among the rest of pandavas-but we'll have body height issue here, must manipulate with cgi
Nakul: Orlando Bloom - most handsome warrior, I like his appearance in Kingdom of Heaven..
Sahdev: Luke Evans - perfect twin for Bloom while still below him in handsomeness

Karna: Brad Pitt - i like him as Achilles with a special golden armour.
Bheeshma: Liam Neeson..specialist in senior/mentoring character like master jedi qui gon jinn, zeus, even raas al ghul in the dark knight.. Tall and perfect as the greatest warrior of that time

I haven't think about the rest yet :)

Bheeshma: Amitabh Bachchan
- Tall, dark, handsome and has a deep baritone. To get into Bheeshma's character one needs to portray his inner pain with deep intensity and eyes must do all the talking at times. He can carry out everything with perfection and hence he's an ideal choice for Bheeshma.
Nobody else is in my mind!
It's almost impossible to imagine someone else...as Mukesh Khanna was the one who had played Bheeshma.

First of all, pure Hindi language is required to play any character from this Epic and I don't think any Hollywood actor/actress can speak Hindi well so, I am picking up the Bollywood actors...

1. KARNA - well, this is the most fascinating, complex and Anti-Tragic-Heroic character and except Shahrukh Khan, no one else can play it better..Reason why I chose SRK is firstly because Karna is his most favourite and dream character... secondly, I remember reading one interview of SRK where he said that he is bored of playing Heroic roles and that now he is eager to do Anti-hero roles... I remember him playing an Anti-Hero to perfection in Don and Baazigar film..he looks much better in Anti-hero roles...also, I have seen one of his historical film ASOKA..though that movie was not a hit but SRK made a mark as Emperor Ashoka..whenever I think of King Ashoka, I always remember SRK...his height is also not that bad..he looks quite tall in films..he has a heavy and fierce voice..plus he is perfect in delivering dialogues and emotions.. Also, he looks very handsome in Long hairs which is most required. I can't think of any other Bollywood actor other than SRK to play Karna.

2. BHISHMA - undoubtedly, it has to be Amitabh Bachchan..he is just Perfect to play this character!

3. KRISHNA - can't think of any other Bollywood actor other than Aamir Khan. He looks forever young like Krishna and also, he is very knowledgeable.

4. Bheem - only Salman Khan can suit this character.. He is perfect and has good muscular body.

5. Duryodhan - my choice to play this character to the T is Ajay Devgn.

6. Nakul - only Ranbir Kapoor can play Nakul well..he is good looking.

7. Sahdev - Imraan Khan will be the best choice.

8. Draupadi - first choice is Priyanka Chopra..she is fit to play any character.. Second choice is Deepika Padukone.

9. ARJUNA - only Hrithik Roshan has the face, physique and good attitude to play this important character.

Amitabh Bachchan is the best actually 😊
And his Hindi pronunciation...wow! Just like a poet's. Somewhere I had read that other bollywood actors read their Hindi scripts/dialogues in Roman script. 😲
They can't read Devnagri! 😡

please excuse me for pulling a tollywood/kollywood actress.. I would love to see Anushka Shetty play Draupadi.. she is a tremendous performer.. 😊

Arundathi was the first Anushka movie for me and since then in love with her 😛.. that is one among the very few horror movies that I have dared to watch more than thrice only for her 😳
