Arjuna underwent deviations from his warrior nature seeing men like Bheeshma, Drona etc as his foes. Several questions occupied his mind and he started backing down. This particular situation comes in every individual's life and we get confused regarding what's right and what's wrong. Arjuna here displays the mentality of every common individual.

One more reason is...Arjuna followed whatever Krishna uttered...had he chosen Yudhisthira, he may have debated with him and the Gita gyaan would have ended in 18 days. This point was stated in the previous thread. 😆
