I am not a salman hater. So please avoid the jealous hater comments . They annoy the eff out of me.
so here is my opinion on this matter . Piracy aside this is what might have happened
the concept itself isnt original though the message is good. Its called paying it forward and its from a hollywood movie whose name eludes me at the moment.
So here is the thing. Good messages are accepted by the indian audience. Like 3I, munnabhai etc. They are accepted as long as you dont sound too preachy. Sohail khan is not a good director. He couldnt put forth the main message well enough for the people to get connected to it.
second point is bhai fans are getting tired of maar peet and his ballistic slap stick action sequences. WTH has fighting and beating up bad guys got to do with paying it forward. We get it hero beats up villain...move on.
Third point is the heroine.
daisy shah is quite pretty. She is new. She wasnt very good in the movie though. She didnt set the screen on fire like deepika sonakshi etc. The leading lady should have appealed to the masses if not these flicks will not really stand out.
other than that there other small factors like mediocre songs and stuff but these were the points that stood out for me.
so in short salman should use this as a wake up call and try something new. He is still a superstar. He could pull anyone in with his stardom with the exception of this movie. I know I would watch if I found out that he was doing something different.
