My View on the Fracture

So I know that this topic has been dissected and discussed to a point that it doesn't make sense for me to make this post, but I'll like to throw in my two cents.

I am a doctor by profession, one who works in trauma to be exact. I see these things on a day to day basis. Without going into any of the medical details, can I just say that if Deb was to come to me with two of her ribs fractured, I wouldn't have advised her to dance, especially not acrobatics etc., because it can cause serious damage. People with rib fractures, hairline or otherwise, have difficulty breathing, so it astounds me that it did not even take her a few days to not grasp the pain but to practice and perform.

I am no one to question anyone's credibility, and I've seen a few people coming forward and supporting her, adding that they are medical professionals. If they really are, shouldn't they actually know the ramifications behind a fracture? I have never seen an injured basketball or soccer player take to the field with an injury, so unless the medicine learnt in this country is different than the one there, the fracture thing seems fishy!

There you go again. Do you the reallly know the severity of the actual injury forget that seems like from your post you don't know the injury...Being a doctor how could you make a statement without going into what the injury is actually ...I'm surprised...And you are challenging another peer of yours Dr Anu Tandon who knows the injury in and out... Hmmm interesting...chalo anyway continue..Good luck😃

Yeah. Nobody has forgetten. That fracture thing is totally fake. How can someone jump around, do so many lifts and FLIPS with fractured ribs?! I don't believe it whatsoever.

When I talked about the people who talk about them being medical professionals, I meant the people on this forum, not Dr. Anu Tandon, or whoever her personal physician is. Like I've already pointed out, I am no one to question her credibilty - see my post. As for the ones I am actually talking about, look around the forum, you'll see the post.

Why I would or would not go into the mechanics of rib fracture is the thing irritating you? What is it that you want to know exactly? I did say that the major problem is breathing difficulty, which is caused due to the inability to expand the rib cage properly. Kindly refrain from attacking my skills as a doctor. Any other questions?

Secondly, I did not attack the contestants. Neither they, nor any other contestant is my neighbor, so as for me to stoop to levels where I throw around accusations. I called the entire matter "fishy", because simply put, if she were my patient, I would not want her to stress her ribs. Never mind the pain, if the damage turns into something serious, she may actually break her ribs, and that would not be worth any trophy, trust me. Want me to count the number of things that can happen if she dances around with a broken rib?

And trust me, some people don't even know that they have a hairline fracture somewhere until much later. HOWEVER, rib fractures cause a lot of discomfort.

Very well said! What makes this issue even more fishy is the fact that the other contestants who had injured themselves were advised by the judges to quit the show yet Debina was never advised to quit the show and something like a broken rib isn't any less serious than the injuries sustained by the other contestants. Of course, it's admirable when people have the spirit to fight on even through the pain but something like the NB trophy isn't worth the imminent pain and possibly a more serious condition in the future.
I think it's quite childish to bash a health care professional who clearly has more medical knowledge than most Gurbina fans on this forum for stating that they wouldn't advise Debina to dance with a fractured rib. Professional dancers can't dance with injuries like that and here an amateur dancer is pulling off acrobatics without showing any signs of being injured at all. Now anyone with common sense would look at that and think that there isn't something quite right about it.
Whether Debina is faking it or not, I still don't feel the right message is being sent to the public that you should put your health on the line for a silly competition that happens to air on national and international televeision.

They have lied about the fracture. The released copy of MRI shows their desperation. Sach ko proof ki jaroorat nahin hoti hain!
