I am a doctor by profession, one who works in trauma to be exact. I see these things on a day to day basis. Without going into any of the medical details, can I just say that if Deb was to come to me with two of her ribs fractured, I wouldn't have advised her to dance, especially not acrobatics etc., because it can cause serious damage. People with rib fractures, hairline or otherwise, have difficulty breathing, so it astounds me that it did not even take her a few days to not grasp the pain but to practice and perform.
I am no one to question anyone's credibility, and I've seen a few people coming forward and supporting her, adding that they are medical professionals. If they really are, shouldn't they actually know the ramifications behind a fracture? I have never seen an injured basketball or soccer player take to the field with an injury, so unless the medicine learnt in this country is different than the one there, the fracture thing seems fishy!
