Fox TV to air it's first venture on star
Star Plus, the No. 1 Hindi General Entertainment channel is all set to launch its new primetime 9 p.m. show, 'Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni ' from April 23rd, Mon-Thurs, in the weekday primetime slot. The show produced by Fox Television Studios India, will mark its foray into Indian Television.
Deepak Segal, Head, Fox Television Studios India, said, "Fox Television Studios first venture, Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni is an attempt to offer loyal viewers something different from the regular fare on television. It is an emotional story of relationships, love saga with a musical background and as the show progresses one will see situations beautifully presented through songs. We are sure that viewers will dwell on the music and like the show very much".
Harsh Rohatgi, General Manager, Content & Marketing, STAR India, added, "Our primetime shows have always created a niche for themselves and Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni is just the apt. show to replace KBC in the prime time slot. The show concept is such that it is bound to attract a larger audience base and prove to be a success".
Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni is an emotional & musically moving saga of 19 year old Sudha, a small town girl and an aspiring singer, who wants to make it big in the field of music. Circumstances bring her to Mumbai in search of a job where she meets the man of her dreams. Only to realize that the road she chose and the man she gave her heart to, both will have something else stored for her. Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni is Sudha's journey from simple life to hardships, from dreams to the world of reality, from hope to destiny. The story revolves around the trials and tribulations of this young girl in the big city.
The concept is by Khalil Hasan and the show is directed by Sanjay Khanna and scripted by Reshma Khan & Irshad Kamil. The cast includes popular telly world names like Shama Deshpande & Saleem Shah & Soumya Tandon. One will see Ashima Bhalla (who after her stint in few films is ready to enter the telly world by) playing the lead character of 'Sudha' in the show. Her love interest 'Raj' will be played by Karan Grover aka Arjun of STAR PLUS' popular afternoon show 'Saathi'.
