I want to start off by saying I'm not trying to offend anyone's sentiments and opinions with this post. This is just my thoughts on the show at present.

I'm not targeting EMA in particular but I have been following the show - which started out with great potential - the story of a socio-economically challenged domestic helper who has great hopes for her daughter to break the current status-quo that they have lived their whole lives according to.

I was watching this show hoping to see a balanced struggle for Kamla, Kalpana and Vittal with some negative elements with in reason - conflict is unavoidable - it is a part of life but I would like to see the conflict of Kalpana seeing a different dream or a different definition of success than her parents have envisioned for her. Or a struggle for the whole family and dealing with situations where they are being discriminated against based on their socio-economic standing - a good example of that was during the exam paper leak - Kalpana almost got kicked out of college but when Pakhi confessed - no action was taken against her. Things like that are what would make this show more interesting to me.

Right now all I see is kitchen politics - Neetu bitter because Pakhi cares more for Kamla than her and wants to get even with Kamla. Neetu isn't even thinking about how she HASN'T been a good mother to Neetu even though Pakhi will point this out to her every time.

All I'm seeing when I tune in now is how Neetu/Sahil/Prem are super evil and scheming - committing fraud, getting away with it and using their money and status to crush people with less.

In the current track for example - Neetu is out to ruin Kalpana's career - really!? You're 40+ and you're playing dirty games with a girl who is your daughter's age?

Kamla - she's seriously another person I can not understand - how many times has she and her family been humiliated and targeted by Neetu - I've lost count - but she still goes to work for the Kapoors...it boggles my mind...

I know many people may not agree with my views - so I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone's sentiments or sensibilities.

I like to watch tv to relax and be entertained - not get worked up over stupid kitchen politics - makes me not want to tune in :(
