Lathika is not a simple character so its easy to get confused. At one time we see her treat Prateek like dirt at the wedding but when it came to her wedding anniversary she is so excited. Same with Sharada..she yells at her and gets embarressed but on the same coin she also apologizes.

Her character stems from how her father has moulded her. She has gotten the appreciation from there so she tends to do that She seems to be some who is a attention seeker and always wants to be the important person and role of decision making.. Being the only daughter she must have adored her father and hence she feels the need to be his right hand person. For that she sometimes does nasty things or says horrible stuff about the other.

My feeling is that she will end up being not a full blown vamp but surely will cause trouble since Karan will be threatening her importance.
