So in terms of actual content perhaps we did hit rock bottom yesterday as today showed a slight improvement. However, between Benezir's fourth begum dress, worries about Jodha being sent to jail for murder, to the turmoil of the weekend, I thought I would continue with the five positives from today. Thankfully, they were easier to find today:
1. Sheik Salim Chisti is back and what a calming effect it had. Though this is likely the sixth prediction that a love story will start, my optimistic mind grabbed at it completely as it is the last thing to cling on. Obviously, love story is having starting troubles ... Hopefully, those are over now.
2. Salima is back and with that Hamida's belief in Jodha. Now Jodha has two supporters. With Salima back, now Jodha does not need to resort to SD for advice.
3. Only Jodha is on Jalal's mind and Jalal on Jodha's. These two are so close to accepting their love for each other that I can finally feel it. And Jodha's protests to Moti kept getting weaker and weaker over time.
4. Ben's airtime was reduced by 90% from yesterday. Extrapolating to next week it should be down to 0% by Wednesday. Also using dresses as a benchmark, we saw two dresses in one episode, so for two more dresses we need only 1 episode right? While that is wishful thinking, I think this is what will happen: in the dargah trip Jodha will miss her mark but Ben May get hurt or lose this opportunity to bite Jalal, in the meantime, Hamida Begum may find excuses to delay the Nikah (she seemed to start to do that in today's episode) ; in the meantime, Ben wears her two other dresses, loses her supply of snakes, and tries something in desperation which is when Jodha saves the day. After all, Sharifuddin needs to prove helpful and his idea needs to be used. Then he will get out of jail to start the next track ...
5. I saw Ben dead; even if it was a dream in the serial, it was a dream come true for me. Ben can't seem to leave us alone even when we see her dead as now we are worried that Jodha will be charged with murder. Hence, I am hooping it is a dream.
CVs should put a ban on Meghna Naidu's social networking as she is releasing too many spoilers and hurting JA TRPs as nobody looks forward to the next week and stop watching.
Hope this weekend brings forth at least one Benless episode next week.
I am up to my limit on posts but look forward to reading people's thoughts. So many ways this track can end are floating around... Only time will tell how the CVs will relieve us of Ben.
