deepika was a charcter who's background is not known at all...nuthin at all abt her parents, lovelife...anything....she was sent the ss tosreform the squad, and then returned after sometime to be permanent.
tho i remember in 1 episode, one of her cousins and uncle was the main suspect, in tht...she had said tht she was in london, 10 yrs ago....which means she might have finished her education from london.
othr than that, she's 30 yrs old.... this is the description from the internet episodic guide, abt her character, on her entry in episode#27:
"The senior officers decide that it is high time the Special Squad gets a revamp. They assign the task to 30-year-old Deepika Ghosh, a brilliant forensic expert, to take over Special Squad even superseding Aryan. She wants the Special Squad to get back to sticking to procedure and filing reports. She faces tremendous resistance from the whole Squad who feel they are being cramped."
