Bactria is the same region as present-day Afghanistan, right? So he faced trouble from their warriors as well as the woman he married from there! 😆

To be honest Afghanistan terrain was very different. Also Cleitus wasn't there with him anymore ...Roxy was innocent 😆
Also main motive of winning Persia was over so soldiers were also less enthusiastic

He really did all of that only in a span of 12 years. He built upon his own name, such a legacy that exceeded in greatness those of the mythical figures that he looked up to, for instance Homer's Ulysse, Achilles, who were mostly involved in a mission, and intestinal wars and conflicts within their own states and it was only the hurdles and the outcome which made their mission become an epopee He was far greater than Zeus himself. Hailing from a polygamous royal patriarch, within an isolated province as Macedonia and heeding on to open his nation and it's civilization toward the entire World at a time when societies were mostly autarcic, narrow, shut down within themselves where people's faith were mostly ruled by mouth-to-ear and folkloric tails and spiritual beliefs. The fear of death, fate and the Mighty one up there supervising our daily life actions, were the prevailing thoughts that preoccupied people. No one had engaged itself in such an ambitious dessein before him. The later conquests, great discoveries and explorations only came way time, decades, centuries and generations after his death. Chinese were the first to explore the seas and it's ressources and later on the European countries with their colonisations during the 15th and 16th century which were to say the least, most dishonorable and undignified. Alexander the Great really pathed the way for all the 2.0 Emperors and Kings who wanted to expand their territories and empires later on. All this to convey that the most powerful and epic historical duo : Alexander + Bucephalus outdid everyone's Great Emperors and Kings and they all can go home now !
