Also Aunty, Rohit said in one of his interviews that he read all the historical material on Alexander before watching any movies, since he didn't want to be influenced by the depiction done by the other actors.
I am so glad he chose that approach. We were saved from a second Oliver Stone/Colin Farrell fiasco!

You're right, he is such an intelligent actor too.

There was one other bit scene of his that I really liked. When he was getting ready for the hammaam in the famous poisoning track and Hephaestion told him he would be on guard, the look in his eyes changed immediately. In that very moment you could just tell what Hephaestion meant to him. Rohit was fabulous there!

The saying, 'Heere ki parakh sirf jauhri hi janta hai', works on this forum too!
The normal viewers just pass Alexander's scenes casually just considering him the bad guy and lowering his stature to a mere villain of the show but the real recognition for Rohit's performance is given to him here!
Reading the posts on his praise here makes me so happy! Awesome people here like Shyamala Aunty, Inlieu, Vicariously have indeed recognized the gem of an actor in Rohit!
When I read such magnificent analysis of his micro- expressions of his micro-scenes (as compared to Porus's long lectures)😆 it really makes me relish his performance even more and makes me realize how high potential Rohit has for being a Superstar!

@Vaishnavi, I am waiting for your posts of Rohit praising too, now! 😉

Underrated is an understatement for how he's viewed. He doesn't have many youtube clips either and is such a modest person that you don't see him bragging about his work at all. He does, however, have a good sense of self-worth and uses this to maximize his potential.

As for audience opinion, I have seen more and more comments on youtube from people saying they had started out watching this show for the PR bits but ended up liking Alexander instead or just as much, even though he did "bad things". And now Tanzania can be added to the list of countries where he is growing in popularity.

I have been a big movie and history/historical show buff for many years, but this is the first time I've written to an actor (or any famous person) on social media. Rohit's performances have been that good that I couldn't hold myself back from telling him how impressive his work is.

Aunty is on her way to shower upon me a serious reprimand for my juvenile puerilism and futility, but look who's willing to risk it all for the sake of truth 😆 😆 Ufff my audacity 😆

You know, kids, I don't want to sound ike Queen Victoria saying We are not amused, but you need to understand some things.

-There is a not so fine line between being funny and being silly.

-There is an even thicker line between being silly and being impertinent..

-I leave it to you three to decide where each of you stands in this scale.

-I don't need any outside assistance to straighten you kids out.

Lastly, even in my salad days, my crushes were never the handsome ones, but the rough and tough guys like Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable.

Aunty I am truly sorry for this mishap. I didn't mean to be impolite or impertinent toward you. While typing down those words, I was completely oblivious about how you may perceive it because I was overall in a jolly mood. France is set to play the final round of World Cup tonight, everyone here is uncomplexed and freely showering Rohit with praises so I just let myself drown in it. I will be careful to choose my words appropriately and discipline myself on time. Again, I apologize Aunty.

Very well, my dear. You are forgiven! 🤗

But don't do anything like this again. I didn't want to sound crabby, and I am very fond of you kids, but there is a limit to everything!
