I really want the CVS to wrap this show in a proper way I only watch two shows porus and prithvi vallabh and compare to porus prithvi vallabh is a masterpiece but unfortunately it is ending and I really wish atleast porus gets a proper ending not a rushed one.

If Porus is a defender here, he must have been the attacker when he fought and defeated the kings of other neighbouring kingdoms to expand his own. They always fought for expansion of their territory. There must have been a lot of people killed then too.

What did you folks think an ashwamedha yagna was about? It was all about aggression, and even Lord Rama did the ashwamedha yagna.

The only difference is that the opponent this time is a foreigner. But for the soldiers and the common folk who got killed in the internecine wars between the various Indian kingdoms, I doubt if it made any difference!

I could not agree with youj more. This travesty of a battle today just about put the lid on it. I don't know now much longer this is to drag on.

See, there were about 15 elephants. Say each kills 20 Macedonians. It cannot be more and surely the rest can evade the elephants. It is not a fast moving animal. That makes 300 Macedonian soldiers killed. How many were left over. Thousands. So why is it seen as a rout?

And those logs, rolled down on to a plain field, was the pits. This was not a battle or even an ambush. It was a farce.

When you talk ot a defender and an attacker, and one being superior to the other, it does not matter if you are referring to the real folk or the character in this show. I was only pointing out that these roles were interchangeable.

As for your other point, Porus never fought a proper war, but as a Dasyu, he must have been an accredited looter of other people's property.He said, when he was made the Yuvaraj, that he would not go on a digvijay, but only look after his people. I doubt very much if the real Porus was anything like that.

I am like Deepika to some extent. I do not like Porus because he preaches all the time, and does not practice what he preaches. His bombing the Persian town was pure terrorism, it was not war .

Also.I dislike mahaan characters, and that was my perennial grouse against Jodha Begum. Porus gets on my nerves just as she did.

As for today's battle, it was a farce, for the reasons I have cited, which, incidentally, no one else here has done because no one else here is into analysis. They are busy cheering for the home team, which is OK, but one should not cheer for the CVs as well, who are perennially insulting the intelligence of the viewers. It is not a comedy show, for it lacks the intelligence for one.
