Why Sony TV never gets good trps

They are quite old and popular channel and had popular shows on it like Cid chandrakantha kbc etc etc then why it is not watched as much as other channels?

None of its shows get good trps.

One of the reason may be Ki they don't give repeats of their shows neither they promote them.

As u can see its been more than a month, they didn't give any promo of porus.

As I wrote on the other thread, Siya, I could never understand why such an opulent production like Porus was entrusted to Sony, which is mostly the graveyard of good TV, and which singlehandedly drove Yashraj TV out of business thought most of their productions were very good.

Sony also sank Anurag Kashyap's Yudh, though, as Amitabh Bachchan's first fiction show on TV, it should have done very well. But Sony scheduled the 20 one hour episodes from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm on week days, with NO repeats? It was unbelievable!😡 And this for Amitabh Bachchan's first fiction show on TV!!!

I am convinced that the channel is manhoos. I do understand the point about only Sony being willing to concede the IP rights, but higher TRPs on a really good channel would have fetched the PH far more ad revenue. I read somewhere that Porus was sold to Sri Lankan TV for only US$ 5000/-. That is far too small for such a show. Higher ad revenues would have got them much more.

Incidentally, what does RHA stand for?

For low trp,70% Sony itself is responsible.

It is surprising some new channels like &tv Star bharat these channel's shows get good trp but Sony tv not good trp at all😕

There are many reasons for it.

1.No Repeat-Giving repeat telecast of shows is necessary because all may not be able to watch a show in its real time but they can watch repeat according to their suitable time.Also it is good option for incase someone missed to watch a show in it's actual time they will have option to watch repeat telecast.Repeat telecast also can bring new audience.But our dear Sony tv never give a single repeat any of their shows.It is totally disappointing.Just in case I miss to watch Porus I had to watch it online.But all don't have internet access even if internet access hoga bhi itna data sabka thodi hoga.By this they loose audience.Their loss only🥱

2.No Promotion-Initially Sony promoted Porus but now they don't do on tv.But yes on fb I have seen them promoting but tv pe bhi dikhana chahiye.Mostly they give promotion of Ganesh and YUDKBH.Promotion should be given to attract audience more.

3.Timing-This is also is very important.Now Porus on air timing is 8.45pm which was earlier 8.30.This timing is not much profitable.Because in all other channels shows start at 7pm-7.30pm-8pm etc.Sony tv ke all shows ka timing bichme se start hota h.Now 8.30 baje toh koi aur show dekhne me busy hoga 15 min wapas interested nai hoga.

4.Competition with high trp shows-Jis time Porus on air hota hai us time other channels pe jo serials aate h they are on top on high trp so Sony toh waise bhi bahat piche reh jata h.

Rest for 30% People's mentality is responsible.As I have seen most of the people think Sony tv show has no good content it's flop and they are the people(mostly) who watch typical saas bahu type and EK shows which has no good content.Almost same story.

In all Sony tv shows provide good content but jin logoki mentality saas bahu ek shows ki tarha h unko kaise pasand aayega.These people don't take interest in Sony tv shows.

Sony all the time crime petrol repeat telecast kar sakta h but why they don't repeat other shows I still don't get it.What's the problem.Crime shows pollute people's mind and encourage to commit crime more.Such shows should be banned.
