A lot of what Porus says comes from his passion and patriotism and I think the CVs want to rouse these feelings in the viewers. He's a lot like Anusuya in this way, but even in his own family, look what Kanish and Shivdutt did (and are still doing) despite Anusuya showing them compassion. They don't behave like the royal family at all. 😡 I hope neither she nor the kid gets killed - it would make me really sad. In this sense, Kanishk is no different from what Arrhidaeus or Alexander did for power. This was quite common in royal families. Razia Sultan suffered a terrible fate for forgiving her half-brother, Moiz. It sounds cruel but that doesn't make the doers necessarily evil - it is more about the survival of the fittest/smartest. The only difference here is that Kanishk's mother does not actively encourage him to murder their relatives in order to get to the throne. Shivdutt and his bulging eyes are there to instigate Kanishk. They had better not assassinate Bamni either. 😡 But how will Puru become king if Bamni is still alive? Will he retire and pass his rule on to his son?

I actually did like what Puru said about the act of forgiving one's enemies showing the strength of the Indians. It might be a respected trait, as long as it doesn't mean forgetting what they did and allowing yourself to become vulnerable to them again due to blind trust. Look what Darius managed to do to them for 21 years because they weren't careful. Anusuya was right in the beginning about him, but no one paid attention. Let's not forget that it wasn't only Darius but also Taxila's king that betrayed his own sister and wanted to kill Bamni and her. I have a feeling this very trait of forgiveness will backfire when Taxila does not support PR in the battle later on - we might even see more conflict between him and Anusuya again. Puru will unfortunately have to learn some hard lessons about human nature and stop labeling things as either black or white.

Puru also talked about fighting with honor vs. cruelty. I don't see how that applies to Alexander here. He's always fought battles with honor and never sneakily like Darius. What happened at Thebes was an exception, and he is said to have been so disturbed by what he'd done that he showed mercy in later battles.

Also, Alexander was known for showing compassion in real life, but hamari aisi kismat kahaan jo humein non-kroorta wale scenes dekhne ko mile. 😕

Alexander echoed what we viewers have been saying about Puru's long tongue 😆, but lately I've found that he's been also been repeating dialogues about his jalaal a bit. From the beginning of this show I felt that there were two sets of writers: one for Alexander's part of the story, the other for Puru's, Now I feel as if the writers have been swapped because some of Alexander's recent dialogues have been borderline cheesy/typical. I am concerned he will end up coming across as campy with the same old ghise pite dialogues we've heard in other shows/films.

Regardless of who won, the Battle of the Hydaspes was a decisive one in the sense that Alexander did not proceed further into India, nor continue his conquest. Alexander's army was battle-weary and did not want to continue to fight in foreign lands. Puru talked about the whole "how would you like to be treated" etc in his speech, so I think the makers can go either way in terms of showing the result of the battle. I suspect they will make it look like a draw. In any case, King Porus was somehow involved in changing Alexander's path and shaping his destiny so that is in line with what the Priestess said about someone in Bharat being Alexander's mukaddar. I wish they wouldn't use this word anymore, it's been done to death in movies and now on this show. Also, that word seemed out of place when Puru used it since he's always speaking Hindi and not Urdu like the Macedonians and Persians.

There are many sources saying Alexander may have died of malaria, which he must have picked up as he went further east. The Indians would have been immunized against this but not the Macedonians. With long years of battle their bodies were fatigued and just not able to fight off infections. Also, by this time, he'd spread himself and his army too thin. They were no longer wanting to die for glory under his leadership and wanted to enjoy the fruits of their conquests. Alexander also lost a lot of his soldiers to disease and exhaustion on the way back home.
Saala ek macchar admi ko bohot beemar bana deta hai. Zeus ke bete ko vaccination lena chahiye tha. 😆

Puru ki speech humko aisehi dekhneko milegi show ki end hone tak I know nothing will change that's why I don't keep any hope so.Now I don't connect this fictional show with real history anymore.
It's like an action movie jo bus flim me hi hoti h.historically and logically bahat questions uthegi. At first I was also very disappointed agar history aisa h toh dikhate q nai but hamara yahan bolneka koi fayda nai h.
Jo Puru ne kaha wo sab Indian king k liye fit nai bethta.sabse badi baat toh ye tha bhale hi desh ek tha par uske tukde ho chuke h.Har king bus apna apna hi dekhta apni kingdom badane k liye attack karta unme koi unity nai thi.agar unity hoti toh sab milkar jis kisine bhi bharat pe attack kiya sabka samna ek sath karte.hamesha bahar walo ne iss desh ko loota h.
Jaisa Puru ne kaha waisa agar sach hota toh picture hi alag hoti.
All this is illusion.
Han I agree indians ki kuch values culture h jo hame dusre desh me dekhneko nai milege ashoka bhi kitna cruel tha kitne logoko maara fir badme heart change hua wo alag baat h.
Yesab makers ki galati h unpe upar depend h ek character ko shape karna.had se jyada kuch bhi sahi nai.
And ye kehna sahi nai ki king puru bhi grey character tha q ki unke bareme itna kuch likha hi nai h as a person kaise the toh wo ache the grey the kaise the comment nai kar sakte.
I am only watching for Anusuya.Bus agar wo na rehi show pe Porus bhi khatam.
Jitna jaldi Puru ko bharat bheje utna acha yesab sirf nonsense fiction h😡
