This show is being made for entertainment that is why it is being aired on Sony else they would have aired it on History TV or Discovery channel.

So they will put lots of masalas and emotions and will choose the version of history most likely to connect with the audience. They will obviously take heaps of cibematic liberties. eg. they made you feel sorry for Olympia and feel her pain. Would anyone have connected with the real Olympia?

After all they are making an entertainment show and not a documentary.

Regarding subtitles - how much of the Indian TV watching audience can read English and that too superfast? And as Blacksheep pointed out it is very tough to read Hindi fast by a majority of the audience.

If we compare it with Game of thrones- well we all know how realistic it is😆.

My only request is let an entertainment show be an entertainment show.

Di, it's Sid Tewary we're talking about. Just let go. The costumes are good, and so are the visuals, so leave it at that, and enjoy! 😆

GoT and Porus are two entirely different things and target two different audiences.

Having the actors speak in Greek with subtitles in Porus will distract them from the actor's performances as everyone will be busy reading the subtitles.
Also will the subtitles be in Hindi or English? Many ppl in India cannot make out the English and Hindi subs will take too long to read.
How will someone enjoy the actor's performance then??

The rest of the valid reasons have been stated by @darkwarrior200 in her post.

Of course they are different!!!!

Indian television can never make a GoT in a thousand years!!!!

Of course subs will be in English!!!!

What the hell is wrong with everyone ? Are u guys adults or not ? Some r fighting over a serial expecting it to go precisely the way it was in 350 BC where God alone knows what all had happened and there r ten versions of every fact and side of coin. While some r arguing over which religion was Pagan n which was not and why Urdu is being spoken here and why this and why that. Arrey mat dekho na serial itne issues paal ke rakhe ho toh, why torture yourself like that ? 🤣 🤣
sorry but most of us are actually happily buying whatever crap' Sidd Tewary is trying to sell. And everything else on one side but these religious debates need to stop. Its just a serial for the good fairy's sake 🤣 🤣

Of course Indian Television can never make a GoT.
Just like American Television can never make a Mahabharat in an eternity which FYI was the inspiration for ASOIAF.

And if the subs are in English what about those people who cannot understand it?? Neither can they connect to the Greek nor to the English subs.

By that logic not everyone understands Hindi!!!!

American Television can make Mahabharat far better if they wanted to!!!!

Actually American Television can do everything better than Indian Television!!!!

You are talking as if the Mahabharats made here were very authentic!!!!

I stopped watching GOT after seeing the first so called love scene between Cersei and Jamie. Not only that my son, my nephews my neices no one is allowed to watch it.

By the way are they showing GOT subtitles in Hindi, chinese, french etc etc in USA or England for dothraki dialogues? Then pray why should Porus have subtitles in english for gree dialogues?😆
