Pooja is putting pressure alright. Naren today clearly told he feels suffocated in an environment where it's all money and no sense of right or wrong. Pooja tells him to change it if it bothers him so much.

How will he do it?

Just because someone says he doesn't like how a business is run doesn't mean he is equipped to change it. Not all film critics can make fantastic movies.😆

Is Naren an MBA? Does he have experience in corporate world?

Just by forcing him she can't make him DO it. Someone ought to tell him HOW to do it. The techniques, the tricks... who will teach him that?

This is the best time to get Harish into picture to make Naren teach some ways of business.

The show seems dull without some vibrant, happy characters around... Wish Mayank is back... They need some colour and crowd... Hardik, Harsha, Mayank ... They are all missing... It's always Rahul, Neelima, Supriya, Naren and Pooja...Or mamaji being the bearer of bad news always...

I kinda miss the vibe of earlier episodes... They need to brighten up the episodes a bit... I think Rahul modi wrote for Pyar ka dard show too, right? That was one BIG family with lot of things going on in parallel... this show needs something like that too...

P.S: Super cute how Naren kept Pooja's pic on his desk and talked to it. He is adorable. (That was a bad pic, btw lol)

*sigh* I do wish this show had the elements that made PKDH fun - ensemble dynamics, lots of characters with their own graphs (even the baddies weren't always bad, and had moments of redemption), a mixture of emotive elements in the ep.

While thematically I can see how the current tracks are relevant - Mamaji's sudden belief in kundali issue must have flared because of Anand's death and hence he is sure Pooja needs to leave Naren, Naren like Vishwamitra had to become fully immersed in the domestic world hence his father is out of action and Pooja is pushing him to fight back and get a foothold into the business, all the truths Pooja is hiding from Naren will eventually be what she can use to make Naren mad at her so she can leave him for his safety, that may also happen at a point where she is pregnant (like Menaka was with Shakuntala), the truth may push Naren back to spirituality (like Vishwamitra)

...so yeah it's not that I feel the show is off track. It's just that it isn't as enjoyable, in fact it's kinda depressing lol, especially since there's no other joyful characters to emotionally invest in... Kya karein :/

There is no charm in the execution. Like you said, the problem is not with the track itself but how it is being presented... The execution is very dull... The story telling is not gripping or interesting... Nothing new... When with Naren everything should feel different and new... atleast the approach to routine things...

Charm! You're right - that's the missing ingredient. Romantic lines and Bollywood songs don't equate to charm. Charm is something innate in the script that enchants you - when Piyaa Albela first started it had that charm in spades.

The settings were gorgeous, the music fitting, the eccentricities and emotional turmoils of the characters were interesting, I felt there was so much potential for different types of dynamics between all sorts of characters, I was excited to see how spirituality and practicality would collide and learn to co-exist. Now things are feeling a tad reductive and by the numbers.

I don't even know what tips to suggest to bring this back into the original charming zone...
