Lakhoon Khile Phulwa...

Unfortunately thats not true. It doesn't happen often that you come across such a show which has almost everything. A good story, characters, actors, direction etc. There are hundreds of shows, but only one Phulwa.

Khushboo Bhi Alag, Kismet Bhi Alag...

This line holds true for our show. It had a unique concept, different setting, characters hard to find in any other show, amazing actors that fit the role, story that had so much potential yet...it didn't get to live its full potential. If only it was a given chance things would have been different. If only the channel wasn't so biased towards our show and had given it a fair chance to let it run its proper course we would have witnessed a greater story. But unfortunately it wasn't, as unique its story was so was its fate.

Instead of getting its due appreciation it was ignored. And for what reason I ask? Because it failed to grab the masses attention who are too satisfied with the usual saas bahu rona dhona, kitchen politics and because it didn't submit to the usual tracks of other shows? Because it actually tried to show something different, a strong female lead who can fight her own battles? Because it didn't have the usual OTT romance and sizzle scenes that would keep them hooked on? Because the lead wasn't always dressed in a heavy sari or being the shy girl next door? Only because it tried to make an effort to show story, essence and strong character rather than the usual melo-drama? But nobody wants that right? The audiences are happy watching the usual old stuff and not wanting to move on.

No wonder now PH and actors don't try to attempt anything different because they know that audience won't be watching their show. And of course the biggest factor among all these; TRPs. It's all about numbers at the end of the day. If PH and Channel know that this show won't get those numbers aka money they will never go for it. They give a damn about show, story, concept or audience choice, all the care about it numbers. Same happened with our show despite everything it lost against greed and biased people.

Phulwa had very untimely end and I will never get over it. But will always remember you for your unique concept and the beautiful story you gave us. True the past few weeks have not been so good in terms of story I know, many are upset with the way the story is being handled and some of our fellow members even left the show now because of it. Even I'm upset at the turn of events but despite that I can't get myself to be angry at it because I know it's just one more day and then the show will end. But can't put the whole blame on CVs as I can't forget they are the same people who gave us this different story in the first place. Also they have given enough reasons to smile and love this show so let's bid adieu to the show and its creators in a good way.

Thank you for giving us a chance to witness something different and the beautiful story of Phulwa and Abhay.

I know many of you may not agree with me on some of the points but...oh well, just felt like sharing it so. Feel free to disagree and sorry if my comments have hurt anyone, no such intention. Ab patanahi kab mulaqat ho. :(

Anu- Not agreeing with you just doesn't arise here. You are absolutely right on all counts.

But hey, don't be like that Anu😔 We'll keep meeting. You rest assured.😉
PhAb will always be alive in our minds. True, not seeing them on screen will be really hard to live with. Switching on the tv at 9 will just not be possible for some time i think😔

Great post👏

But i'd like to point out that Phulwa's downfall wasn't because it was different, it's downfall came about because the cv's tried to make it into a typical indian serial, i.e. phulwa becoming a normal housewife, who wears decorated sarees everyday, jewellery, forgives people endlessly no matter how much wrong they do, cries non-stop, and kind of loses some of the intelligence she had..

It was doing fine before all of that happened..😕

i disagree wid u!! its downfall is just bcoz it didn't show phulwa in heavy banarsi or kanjivaram sarees & not OTT crying. phulwa was never shown 2 wear such heavy sarees. and now wen phulwa was shown as bahu then still she cudn't'd shown wearing old dcaoit clothes but still they ddin't show her wearing heavy sarees or jewellery!!
she only wore sum gud sarees or bit of jewellery just 4 the parties!!and this 4giving qlty was always there in her. she'd earlier 4gave chhote thakur but wen he shot at her back then she killed him off!!and she 4gave thakur just wen it was confirmmed that show was ending & CVs've 2 show sumthing 2 lead the story & end it.bcoz if they'd time like even 2-3 months then they wudn't d shown this 4giveness nor thakur was shown begging.he wud'd been shown plotting against PhAb & both'd done justice 2 thakur!!
@bold it was not doing fine b4 this.if u'd notice dteh TRPs wen this rona dhona track was going TRP were not bad & even last 2 last week wen no news of ending is there & rona-dhona was there its TRPs were 1.82 so its not bad.
i m not saying CVs didn't include sum of the kitchen politics(sum of it can b included as its also necessary & even in reality it happens in less amt). they did but not much but viewers've bcum habitual of heavy doses of kitchen politices.luk at those shows whos TRPs r high. all've crying heroine,e.g. DABH i never saw that gal smiling ,both the leads luk like they r in 4ever gloom phase. ISPKKND theres romance of arrogant hero is going on wid stupid dum heroine whos bending b4 hero 4the sake of her sis.
rem phulwa didn't bow in front of abhay wen he scraed her .she did get scared but only for 3-4 days & then she stood straight in front of abhay & he'd 2 back off!!she only bowed b4 thakur 4 blood & there its logical 2 & not like 4 sum stupid reason like khushi is doing in IPKKND!!
so in my view i agree wid anu &et.al that bcoz less dose of ronadhona by heroine & lack of bebas hero even if hes not bed-ridden made 2've less TRPs!!🥱🥱

As usual, I simply can agree with your words. And on this occasion I would also love to once again mention that throughout my 3 months at this forum I've truly been inspired and enthralled by your writings so of course without a last word from you it wouldn't have been complete.

This TRP ki race mein I never did realise that we would end up on the road to lose, I always thought that there were people who loved the show and its concept and would keep supporting it.

But yes, how do I not agree that they were attempting to drag it down a pathetically typical rona-dhona path. I could no longer recognise the Phulwa that was once a dacoit.

I suppose that the good thing about it is that we don't have to watch our show degrade any further, at least this way we can end it with grace and with some good memories attached.

And we'll still be here, discussing, talking, and still creating little scenes in our heads:) We never stopped doing all that before, and I'm sure we won't stop again. And I'll always know that if anything ever pops up in my head I can still head down to this forum and create a post and get a few views and replies about it:)

So yup, that's just what I had to say. And thank you Anu for creating this post to let us throw in a bit of what we're feeling right now:)

Well, you have every right to disagree with me and you do have a point but from what I have observed Phulwa was never much fast in this TRP race. Post leap it didn't garner high TRPs. It was only during PhAb marriage that the TRPs increased and sometime after it they remained high touching a little above 2 but around Devpur track I guess they started to dip again. So yeah when it resorted to the usual marriage drama and a bit of romance helped get audience attention. True I was a part of that audience too but I had also liked the dacoit Phulwa track as well the court trial and all but the numbers show the rest of the audience didnt. But afterwards again the TRPs decreased. As for the mahan Phulwa that happened only now and well the TRPs were less before that.

Khair, all said and done, Phulwa is ending now. I didnt mean to offend anyone with this post just wanted to share what I felt after watching todays epi.

Thanks for commenting. :))
