Varun Badola, popular for his role in television shows like Koshish Ek Aasha, who was last seen in Phir Subah Hogi, is all set for an interesting episodic role for Savdhan India Fights Back.
Varun will be playing the character of a cop who will solve a kidnapping case. The case is based on a real-life incident in Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from Varun, the cast includes Damini Joshi, who was last seen in Ram Milaayi Jodi and noted TV actor Shishir Sharma.
Varun has also been approached for 24 Frames -- an upcoming show, said to be the Indian version of American TV show Missing. A source close to the show, has revealed to a daily that 24 Frames will go on floors in July. As it's a bold show, it is slated to get a late night slot."
Talking of late night slots, so far, it's Ram Kapoor's Bade Achche Lagte Hain that's said to be leading the TRPs for a long time. Now, when Varun's show will be airing around that time, will Mr Kapoor be perturbed?
Varun Badola was quite a small screen heartthrob once upon a time as the lead actor in many daily soaps.
