I actually went back and saw those scenes again yesterday after reading your post. I have not seen them since they were aired.
You know what they still look amazing. That's what happens when you have a very good script, the director has a very clear vision of how he wants to depict such scenes and sublime acting (by Varun and Gulki).
IMO those scenes are still as good as they were because there was innocence in their relationship ie. no baggage. These were two people who had met by chance and then fate had thrown them together so that what started as chance meeting, turned into mutual respect, then friendship and then love. Neither were looking for love or a relationship.
That is what is lacking in the Adini relationship. Their relationhip will always be be burdened by their respective association with TVS.
I have tried since the start of the year to look at Adini objectively and give them a chance. Because they are similar in age they are a lot more tactile with each other (hugs, holding hands etc) than SugVi ever where. Unfortunately I just do not see the chemistry between them. To my mind they come across as two very good friends. (No offence meant to Adini fans). I
I watched the Hut scene on Monday and apart from beng irritated that it was soo contrived all I could see in my mind's eye was Adi looking at all the pics of Sugni on the wall and reading the letter TVS had written to Sugni and realising how much he loved her and Sugni less than 2 months ago saying "hamare dil me aap ki jaga koi nahi la sak ta, khabhi nahi" and wondering how these two can go down this road. To some extent I can understand Sugni. She is on a rebound and wants to hurt TVS but I cannot find any excuse for Adi.
I agree that these two did not look comfortable doing that scene. What should have been hot was cold. If you compare that to SugVi scene when Sugni sees the cut on TVS's brow and is stroking it and showing concern and him assuring her that it was not serious. That scene despite being in broad day light, in the middle of lounge, with Amu and a couple of helpers in the room and them standing at least a foot apart still conveyed soo much warmth (they were completely lost in each other and oblivious to all around them).
