Your FF is giving me something that TV epsiodes can't, i get to read the romance like a novel that you just can't stop reading, this FF is just too good, i love it.

Also, love how you made a vast change in this FF with Champa being attracted to this new guy Rohit, this seems like a good romance to see in future.

Love the attraction between TVS and Sugni, now with sugni as his secretary, he will see her everyday and she will see him everyday, and romance will be everlasting 😳

Chapter 9 - First day at work

Sugni got up early next morning and wore her best salwar.Starting a new job that too her first job brought a new wave of excitement in her.Gulabia was too happy to see her getting such a nice job. She wanted to know how much salary Vikram had offered her but she didn't ask sugni. They did a small puja and sugni took Gulabia's blessings & set off towards the haveli.

The Haveli doors were open and she peeped in.There was no one in the main hall though she heard some sound in the kitchen. It appeared Rohit was trying to make breakfast & clearly struggling. Sugni laughed out loud at the mess and offered help.

Sugni – What are you preparing Sir.

Rohit – Pls call me Rohit sugni and I am making Veg Grill.

Sugni – Veg grill???

Rohit – It's a type of sandwich… I am trying to follow the cook book.

Sugni – I am sorry Rohit but I don't know what a sandwich is.

Rohit - Its made of bread.

Sugni – Fine then you read out the procedure and I will make it.

Rohit heaves a sigh of relief and says – You are a savior sugni here wear this chef's apron…

Rohit reads out the recipe and sugni follows making a delicious sandwich. Rohit savours the smell and whistles.

Sugni offers to carry the breakfast to Vikram who was in his room. She reaches his room but hesitates as her heart beats rapidly which was nowadays becoming habitual in his presence.He was affecting her like never before and she was finding it hard to stay calm and composed around him, fearing he may hear her heart beating louder,She knew these thoughts were not right but the way Vikram treated her, respected her, cared for her she was slowly getting attracted to him.

She enters Vikram's room carrying breakfast tray laid with sandwich and coffee. Vikram who is getting ready in front of the mirror looks at her standing near the door. Their eyes meet and sugni gets nervous . vikram on his part keeps staring at her she was looking lovely and well dressed .

He wondered how he can act normal and work with her, everyday when she was stirring up varied emotions which he had no desire to rekindle .

Vikram turns to her and says - Good morning Sugni so ready to start new job ?

Sugni smiles and says- good morning sir yes I am ready to start my work

She sets the breakfast tray on the table while vikram looks at her questioningly sugni guesses his thought and quickly says - I made it

Vikram laughs and says thank god... its not made by Rohit

Sugni - sir I think you badly need a cook

Vikram - yes but next week my sister will be here once she comes she can take care and hire whomsoever she wants .

Sugni - you have a sister ?

Vikram - yes I have a younger sister she just finished her masters degree. I hope you two get along well when she comes here

Sugni - sure sir I will make her feel comfortable here and be of any help to her

Vikram- I have no doubt in that.

After the breakfast Vikram summons Rohit and Sugni to discuss about her work

Vikram -Rohit I want you to give Sugni an overview of our business and what will be her role and responsibilities will be .

Rohit - fine sir I will brief her

Vikram - Sugni I have some calls to make so I will see you later.,pls make yourself comfortable take it easy and learn slowly from rohit. Vikram senses her nervousness and says- no need to get worried. I know its your first job still take it easily and I have full faith in you

Sugni feels overwhelmed and Vikram could see her happiness and relief in her eyes. He smiles at her and leaves. Over the next two hours Rohit gives Sugni an overview of Vikram's business and Sugni makes notes.

Vikram had a huge business ranging from textile mills to shopping malls to manufacturing factories. Rohit had told her that his business was in excess of 100 crores which baffled Sugni . She could not even imagine how many zeros a 100 crore would have. Yet he was so simple down to earth warm and friendly that Sugni felt growing respect for him with each passing day.

Afternoon was nearing and Rohit had taken a break to make some calls. Vikram was still busy in his study and Sugni decided to use this time to cook them lunch. During the day Rohit had mentioned between the conversation that Vikram's one of the favorite food was chole and cheer. Sugni decided to make the same. She went to the kitchen and was happy to see that it was full with provisions and vegetables and she started to cook.

Sugni knew she was taking liberties here but she wanted to be off any help to Vikram after what all he had done to her and the least she could do was to cook his food. She had found Rohit to be a delightful person who was mixture of wit and wisdom. He had asked her a few questions about champa today which didn't surprise her at all. Vikram meanwhile completed his work and was curious to know how Sugni was faring. He came downstairs and was immediately surrounded by the delicious smell of chole . His mouth started to water and he headed in the direction of the kitchen. The sight he saw in the kitchen shocked him.

Sugni was standing on a long stool in a dangerous position trying to get something from the attic. He know she would fall any moment and darted towards her to ask her to get down. Sugni was shocked hearing her name and turned. She then slipped and fell from the long stool in panic but Vikram caught her just in time taking her in his arms. Sugni opened her eyes in fear thinking that she might have fallen off but instead found herself staring into vikram's eyes. He was holding her firmly in his arms and looking at her intently. Sugni was holding onto his collar and finding it difficult not to get lost in those sexy eyes.

Time stood still while their eyes locked. Vikram found her heart beating hard against his chest and she was avoiding looking at him. Her cheeks had turned red and he felt a deep urge to touch them hold them in his hands. He would have continued to hold her like that if his mobile had not started ringing. He cursed in his mind and put Sugni on her feet and answered the call. Sugni waited for him to leave and composed herself.

Sugni - oh no what's happening to me... I have to stay away from him this is not right.

Vikram in the hall - hell what's wrong with me... I can't allow her to affect me like this.

Just then Rohit comes and relieved to see the food already cooked. The maid says Sugni cooked . He beckons Vikram for lunch while the maid sets the table. Rohit comes to the kitchen and asks Sugni to join them for lunch. Sugni refuses thinking how can she sit with them. She makes some excuse that she isn't hungry .

Rohit comes to the dining table when Vikram asks - where is she ?

Rohit - she said she isn't hungry & he starts to eat while Vikram goes to the kitchen

Sugni sensing him coming busies herself in some work when Vikram comes and stands at the doorway .

Vikram - come for lunch Sugnil

Sugni - no sir I am not hungry

Vikram - its close to 3pm now and I saw you have made all my favorite dishes.

Sugni turns away in fear …she didn't expected Vikram to question her like this... she was worried what to say.

Vikram was taken aback when he had seen chole and kheer.It had reminded him of his childhood when his mom would make his 2 favorite dishes.

Vikram - Sugni I am asking you something . He comes and stands close behind her Sugni turns towards him and stammer that Rohit told her

Vikram bursts into laughter and says - why are you so scared of me as if I will eat you. I came here to compliment you and thank you. Now come along I can't wait to taste them. Saying so Vikram takes her hand and leads her to the dining room

Sugni sits next to him while the maid serves .

Vikram compliments her endlessly on her cooking and Sugni feels overjoyed . She realized how much happy she feels when she sees him happy. He was slowly and steadily occupying her thoughts and her priorities .

By 6pm Vikram called Sugni to his study.

Vikram - so Sugni how was your day

Sugni - sir it was very gud i got an overview of your company and Rohit has been very helpful in explaining your business.

Vikram- well thats good to hear...one more thing I will be going to city tomorrow to select some more raw materials and wanted you to come with me.

Sugni - city... yes sir *excited*

Vikram-i can see you are very excited

Sugni - Sir I have never been to city before so very excited.

Vikram- good I am sure u will like it... i will pick you by 7am tomorrow be ready.

Sugni - yes sir I will be ready. Sugni then leaves for her home.

Later in the night Vikram is reading a book but his mind was on Sugni. He could not take his mind off that expression on her face when he offered her to come to city with him. Vikram could not understand what had made him ask Sugni to accompany him to city. He had a couple of meetings tomorrow and the thought of staying a whole day away from her was something he could not bear. So on the spur of a moment he had asked her to come with him and he felt relived when she agreed. Part of him wanted to spend more time with her know her and he also wanted to buy some clothes for her. Vikram knew she would never take gift from him but he wanted her to look good and professional as once the factory started there would be lot of visits to customer and client places. He could cajole her into buying some good dresses tomorrow. His thoughts continued and he finally fell asleep.

Gulabia was waiting eagerly to know how was Sugni's first day... Sugni comes home & hugs her and kisses on her cheek- maa...maaa... I am super happy.

Gulabia- I can see that on your face tell me how was your day.

Sugni - Maa my day was too good you know Vikram sir is so rich... his business is so huge...still he is such a simple down to earth person.

Gulabia- I saw that when he came to our house...his father was also a noble man...he has inherited it from his father… errr Sugni did he speak to you about salary..how much will they give... what is your work u said... peresnal secrt..

Sugni - personal secretary Maa... saying so Sugni laughs.. maa i wanted to give u surprise...can u guess my salary.

Gulabia- how would i know... maybe 2-3thousand...

Sugni - bas only this much then hear my salary is Rs. 15000

Gulabia just gapes at her when Sugni narrates her conversation with Vikram on salary.A teary eyed Gulabia hugs and kisses her forehead and says - I am so very happy for u Sugni...Thakur malak is very kind but now you must stand upto his expectation work hard and show him your worth.

Sugni- Exactly Maa I am also thinking the same... he has so much trust in me I should live up to it. You know what tomorrow he is taking me to city for some meetings.

Gulabia- Thats really good with Thakur malak I have no fears of sending you with him. Ok now come and have dinner.

Sugni has dinner and sleeps while she dreams of Vikram and the city.
