Vikram was asked over and over again by Sugni and Gulabia if his wife was alive and Vikram kept denying.

In order to hide his truth, he caused problems for Gulabia (even locked her up in the haveli) and tried moving/hiding Riva everytime Gulabia almost caught up to him and caused a major fight between Sugni and her mom.

If this is not deceieving then I don't know what that is

Interestingly, this was way before Adini happened, so he was a psycho way before Adi and Sugni happened
