M. Iqbal Khan - he played a very well written part but by the 50th episode the character was butchered as was the storyline...

Aisa bad boy sab ladkiyon ko naseeb ho.😆 Varun was amazing today, I've said this before and I'll say this again, he is one of the most nuanced actors onscreen today. And the character of Vikram is just great, with just enough grey shades, but these amazing, teasing, human touches.😉

Haven't seen the episode, but I love bad boys too😉, especially compared to the goody goody hero in Hindi serials😉. I will love to see Varun act all shades of grey...looking forward to it, rather it gives him a huge opportunity to do what he does best ... Act, and me the opportunity to admire the Master at work...👏

For a while my breath went stop... what he want to do.. ? but he is such a charmer.. well acted... every thing is just perfect.. very enjoyable ... and liked his honesty when at last he said 'tumne galt nahi socha.. maine tumhe us tarf dhakela'... and our relationship is so special i don't want to make this just ordinary... fab..
and poor sug.. she was so scare..😲 like me..😆 but showing as she is brave... 😛
i love when he hold her hand and say ' for a thakur it is very easy to make a physical relation... but dil ka rishta is so difficult... and i want to prove this wrong.. both were amazing that scene... when they staring at each other its feel that both are overwhelmed to got each other..their love, affection, and care for each other clearly evident... superb...😳 😳
varun and gulki both are fab in their characters... he is magician and she is sweet sound of flute... lovely... ⭐️

Great thread Laila! TVS has been really a baaad boy !😉 And VB has made TVS one heck of a charmer, a flirt, a true romantic, knows his craft so well that even though he is a fully grey character now, us viewers are swooning all over him ! ☺️ Couldn't agree more that thank god he's not a mama's boy and free to tilt the balance in his favor anywhere anyhow, with anyone!😃
His charming and insightful talk didn't just attract Sugni towards him, it attracted us just as much if not more! I remember at one time when he said to Sugni ~~ AGAR PREM KARNA APRAADH HOTA TO ITNI PREM KAHANIYAAN KYUN BANTI ?? And those words made me speechless as it did Sugni ! 😃👏
Yes, me wondering about DIVORCE storyline too and how and when it's going to transpire and whether convincing and believable. Becoz we know how he was all set to take Sugni covered with red odhni for the temple wedding, WITHOUT ANY PLANS TO DIVORCE THE WIFE FIRST ... So we are left with myriads of questions ... If and when will he tell the truth to Sugni? If and when will he divorce the wife? What will be Sugni haalat when she does find out the truth and by whom? What's going to be the reaction of TVS entire family when they find out that the wife is still alive?
Just my 5C!

Love your post too and thank you. I agree, that whole scene had me giddy and swooning. We NEVER get to witness mature or seductive scenes on Indian television. It was so beautifully written and so "G" rated in its language but its double meaning and the fine acting of VB and GJ and the director made us completely breathless, embarassed and completed speechless. I mean, this time of romance is hardly ever done. All we get are two people together, dancing around to some current filmi song...perhaps in the rain and here we are now witnessing WHAT really happens between two people. Bill Maher said it well in article; women WANT a man to take charge. They don't want a bully or an agressive person but someone who is strong, confident, held together and with an arura of gladiator when it comes to romantic matters. I have hardly ever seen this in the leading male characters on Indian television. TVS is it. He is a bad boy but goodness he's got us completely wrapped around his finger and we KNOW he's doing wrong.
Talk about a FABULOUS performance by Varun. It takes talent to do that...he could have had ALL of us hating him but we STILL want him with Sugni even after what he is doing to poor Gulabia. In Jane Eyre, even after you knwo Mr. Rochester has wronged Jane, you STILL root for Jane to go to the South of France and live in sin with him. Talk about GREY areas - really well done work.

Yes, we not only NOT get to see such mature and offbeat romantic scenes on small screen, but whatever we do see is so predictable too, kind of like beaten track, needle is stuck on the record type. But definitely not here. VB/GJ are refreshingly far removed from such ghisa pita pyaar ka tamasha!😃 In fact, I'm enjoying the age difference even more, coz Gulki's chulbulapan and Varun's authoritative control and romantic innuendos balance each other out so beautifully too! 👏⭐️ TVS in his badness has us all admiring him even more, bcoz he overshadows his grey/brown characteristics so superbly! And as he so commandingly told Gulab during face off, to him everything is untrue, Sugni being bedni is untrue, him being a thakur is untrue, nothing abs nothing is true for him, except their mutual love for each other. That does it and that says it all! It may seem like his justification but his stylish purzor (Engrish??) acting makes it all sound so bombastic and real! Again, hats off!
Yes, I admire Bill Maher and his no-nonsese approach not just in politics but what you just quoted him saying in relationships too! And TVS fills the role to a TEE!😃
BTW one of these days should find time to read/watch J Eyre and the way it's been mentioned umpteen times here on the forum!😊

Whart I quoted what Bill Maher said was the G-rated version of how a man should approach a woman. It ws pretty ruanchy and I would end up with a warning if I had said more😃 Once again, fab post.
