When Gulabiya broke the wall TVS wife did not try to escape...she just stood their painting away and as one viewer pointed out decked up in best outift and jewels...
IF the wife was kept their against her own wishes, would she NOT want to have escaped? Most normal people kept as a prisoner do not look so refined and polished and they certainly do NOT continue painting away as if nothing has happened. For Reva, THIS was normal for her. She didn't even care to see the child...the child NEVER ran to her and said MOTHER... and the woman NEVER embraced the child. She was not distressed...in fact she didn't see anything odd. She pretty much was going on...business as usual. To her, this was her life.
IF the woman was locked up against her will and the child was there against her will then surely we would have witnessed such a scene BUT we did not. So what we see here is NOT as bad as we imagined...at least I hope the writer's are aware of what they are doing here...
Also, in the promo, the woman in the room gets upset with Gulabiya for letting the light into the room. These are a few points that we need to bear in mind.
So...perhaps, TVS realizing his wife was not well, arranged for her to be somewhere...it is also interesting to point out...there was an accident, wife went mad. Did he keep her locked up for her safety? And what of the young girl...was it his or the wife and her ex-lover who died in the accident...Is someone try to kill his wife...did he pretend to keep her there to keep her protected...if wife is dead, then no-one will want to kill someone who no longer exists...RIght? To divorce her right now would make it obvious that she is alive...perhaps that is what we meant to Sugni..when it is the right time...meaning when I have figured out what to do with my wife and my marriage to her...and this kid...that's not mine...
See, all these make me come up with this idea...
Wife had affair with another man, had child, went insane. TVS betrayed by wife realizes that to make public his wife's affair would be cruel and insulting to her memory. Perhaps even for her safety. He decides best way is to just make out she is dead. Child shows up and he does not know what to do with her...then Sugni shows up.
TVS gets worried, has plans to divorce his wife once all paperwork is done but Gulabiya gets all nosey and suspicious. TVS wants to tell Sugni but he has kept too much a secret and instead of just taking care of business...he rushes to get married to her. I am hoping that during the course of the show that TVS had plans to get divorced to her...
My question though is what does Daima have to gain by killing Sugni other than she feels a loyalty towards the first wife...In Rebecca - Dumaurier's modern Rebecca this was the case...
