OK could some one please explain to me why is it that Gulabia, hale and healthy brothers can find work to help in the house??? that is something that has irritated and confused me from the beginning seeing as they are both grown men with wives and children of their own. Why is it that Gulabia is always blamed for starving her family to death when ever she don't dance.
Why don't they send their wives to dance, especially that big brothers wife, I like the small one..(sorry for got the names) Are'nt thier wives bedinis to??? how are they so special from the rest of the women. Is there a rule against men working?? I remember Natu not wanting to take the driving job,and the uncle going crazy when he found out it was a boy...I mean What you want your daughter to become a plaything of a Thakur...Man that is just sick and messed up...

Help me clear this confusion🤢

The Bedia culture of depending on prostitution as a legitimized form of livelihood is feudalistic and is morally wrong. Don't blame you for feeling disgusted Vinnie, many people are, and that's why this show is so special. It's highlighting this strange practice in modern 21st century India and educating the public in order to bring about change. It's strange for many Indians living in India, and for foreigners, it's equally shocking because all of us have this romantic notion of India as the next economic powerhouse after the US and China, and lo and behold! we can't believe this practice still exists.
