This is a nice show brought out by the channel which has targeted the shameful tradition being practised in a part of bundelkhand. I knew that there were some tribes such as banchhars, bedias existing in India where such practice of prostitution in the name of rituals and traditions is being carried out. and government is also doing its bit to wean away these tribes from such profession and mingle with the mainstream.

Its good to see that through the serial, its being revealed to the whole population.
I would request the channel/writers/producer not to dilute this sensitive subject and concept and show the actual trials and tribulations being faced by women of this tribe while fighting this ill practice through the character of Sugni and Gulabi so that it inspires these bedia women folk and numerous others who are in similar quagmire.

I would also request not to make it just another thakur- common man love-vengeance story because there had been numerous shows earlier on the same lines. Instead let this show be as realistic and hard-hitting as possible so that bedia or similar women folk watching this could relate to it and get inspired to abdicate this social evil and find other ways to live decently so that the title "Phir Subah Hogi" holds true.

Most of the people in this forum are concerned only about Vikram Sugni pairing and that who should be the lead. I feel that concept of the show should be the hero and the concept is the story of a bedia to struggle out of rotten, corrupt system to earn respect for herself so that others also get inspired and start following the suit. Vikram Sugni plot should be a part of the whole story and not the whole concept itself. So if Vikram turning negative or gray is part of the concept and close to being realistic then what is the big deal? Audience should enjoy Varun's capacity as an actor to potray so many dimensions and shades. But THE CONCEPT SHOULD NOT BE COMPROMISED FOR SAKE OF TRPS. So a section of audience should rethink if Vikram Sugni love story is going to drive this serial or a powerful concept of a bedia woman struggle against odds because in the past we have seen many serials proclaiming addressing social evils deviating from main plot and becoming totally irrelevant.

Nicely worded and BANG ON!!Krishna..👏.
I have been trying to say this since long that the show is a total package with powerful layered characters...I Lubb Sugvi dynamics but I am in for a story which is not Girl meet boy romance..PSH has been a powerful show which has a STRONG CONCEPT,LAYERED CHARACTERS AND A INTRIGUING SCRIPT TILL NOW..Why bother about jodis ..as long as we get stellar performances ..I am happy..My only concern is the actor who plays Adi..which makes us all crib

Great post! I'm one of the sugvi lovers but I'm also okay if they show Vik with grey shades, as long as he isn't completely negative or like every other takur.

But the main reason we're debating on jodis isn't exactly to influence the writers to change the story for the sake of TRP's. We know that Sugni is going to end with a takur, if not Vik, than Adi. So why not Vikram? Making him the lead won't sabotage the story. It'll be a minor deviation.

That's just my opinion...

I agree with you and that was the reason I started watching the show. I liked the romance - it was definitely the icing on the cake and the interactions between these two characters have contributed to the crux of what the writers had proposed. Their dialogues against others who support the practice; their actions etc, do add to it. I am OK if the character turns out to be negative as long as it does not compromise the TVS-Sugni future jodi.

great post and very well written.
when the show was to launch it was told varun will be playing the role of vikram thakur who has gray shades and may in all probability turn grey.
But since he entered the show all he has been is positive and we all fell in love with his character so for most of us it will be shocking to see him playing grey . Having said that i also agree that this show is more about bedinis and their struggles against manipulative thakurs. So what would be very interesting to watch will be the battle betwen vikram and sugni.

These 2 characters are powerhouse and extremely strong. I want to see a different storyline here than the regular shows we watch where a girl confesses guy dumps and gal gets pregnant and someone comes as her savior.

This shows focus shud remain on sugvi and their mind games and i hope sugni never falls weak against vikram.

what's the point of story if people will not watch it . The concept can be kept alive with Vikram and Sugni. Things would have been different if they had showed TVS's negative shades from the begining. May not be obvious to Sugni but to viewers while establishing the character. They showed him as positive and trying to help Sugni wihout any motives( early days) and then surprize everyone by turning himnegative. This works in suspense movies but I am not sure it will work in serial where you live and breath it everyday
Lets hope for the best with whatever they do , the serial will work only if they can keep the viewers interest eitherway
