It would also potentially be a coming of age of Adi as hopefully he will break through his childhood mould of anger and prejudice to learn to truly care for others and be there as strength and support. I think the Sugni and Adi jodi as real potential.

I've just recently started watching the show and have caught up and I can say that of the recent episodes I'm find TVS a little suspicious with his insistence of coming closer to Sugni (via dance and almost kiss) and saying that "Pyar mai sab kuch jayse hai" or something like that. It seems like he is filling Sugni's head with fanciful dreams. And once those dreams break (if they break of course) then as Gulabia implied that pyar is a lot of work and not just rosy dreams. Hopefully Adi can fulfill that and Sugni will realize true love. At least that's how I can imagine it.

All of them are great actors.

Interesting in what way? These two have no chemistry! Every time I have to watch scenes with them I am bored out of my mind. It is obvious the writers are still doing their best to pus forward with the Sugni and Adi jodi and you are one person who is open to it...I am not. It does not have any magic and it is boring to say the least. It is so overdone - guy hates girl and then they fall in love...we've been there seen that...

Again, everyone sees him suspicious because these are not traits or behaviors we see among leading male characters in India. The scene is typical of what we see in western television, films, books etc. I was rather astonished to see something so sophisticated. Our desi male characters do not behave in this way unless they are bad. We associate confidence and strength with negativity, manipulation etc. If the intent of the writers was to do this, that is something else, but the scene to me, in light of what happened made perfect sense.

Why would Adi and Sugni experience true love and not TVS who is a much stronger, smarter and wiser person. He has stood up for Sugni on a number of occasions etc. He's also more stable, stronger etc.

Thanks - apparently this is not considered gross by Indian standards which totally stuns me. You cannot marry a male cousin in your father's family but you can end up with the girl whom your mamma is dating, in love with and might even sleep with...😕😕

Glad someone is happy with this idea. Enjoy watching the show with this lifeless character.

To me the show will be more interesting if Vikram turns more grey and Aditya turns more white as the show progresses. Varun as an actor will find it more fulfilling to play a more layered character, a wolf in sheep's clothing. Vikram may turn into the man who may not want to break age old traditions but cannot let go of his obsession with Sugni. Once Sugni realises that she can be his paramour but never his wife she is bound to break her ties with him. Maybe Aditya may be her saviour and his prejudice against all members of her tribe finally breaks down as he helps Sugni realise her dream. The only catch is Amrita. I dont want to see her heart broken. She is a good soul and I wouldn't want her to suffer because of Adi-Sugni alliance.

I feel in this show the hero turned villian (Vikram) will be the main character and even if Aditya turns positive, Vikram will still hold sway over the story. As long as the script is tight, I would continue to watch the show whichever way they take it from here.

Yeah, i always knew Vikram wasnt the lead. Adi is and im quite happy with it. I just hope they change the story slowly. No one would want Vikram to turn negative over night.

The post you are replying to actually clearly said who the main lead is...
Numerous other posts on IF also mentioned it.

Its Adi

I think the Adi and Sugni jodi would be interesting and pleasant to watch in the ways I've mentioned above. In that it would be a coming of age of both Sugni and Adi as they both will have to find inner strength and in the case of Adi break through his prejudiced lens. For Sugni if TVS does end as we have been seeing through the symbolism of the first episodes and hints to cheat her and not acknowledge her as wife, it would be a horrible heartbreak and the realization that in life Sugni shouldn't trust so easily. I hope her innocence won't go but her naivete. Adi can become not necessarily her saviour but here companion - hopefully as a future partner. What she sees now is someone to come and take her away from bedni life and is seeing that in TVS's supposed nobility.

I don't personally find Adi and Sugni scenes boring in the least, in fact I find both characters to be believable in their hopes and emotions. I think the have the beginnings of great chemistry as they will eventually learn to trust one another.
I'm just finding TVS a little calculating and too practiced with the recent episodes in pushing Sugni for greater intimacy - without marriage.

If he does really turn negative, most likely the other articles about his wife will be true too and she will enter... I trust the CV's not to disappoint us. As much as I want sugvi, if CV's go the other way, I just hope they don't make Vik completely negative and just keep some grey shades. I don't want to see him as a typical vamp. If he's really playing around with Sugni, he better have a good reason for it. A weakness for women isn't good enough.

From what I saw between Adi-Sugni so far, it's nothing special and like I said many times, they just don't seem to click. Sugni is a strong character; Adi doesn't have as much strength. Hopefully he can get things together and bring himself up to her caliber.

Hi Prabhdeep, thanks for your comments. I agree with you, I hope CVs if they decide to give us Adi Sugni jodi, to do it in a really nuanced and genuine way. It would be interesting to see TVS not play the typical bad guy but have more grey shades, I just have a lot of trouble trusting in his sincerity in the last few episodes.

The only thing for me is that I don't want to see Amrita hurt in the process so hopefully the CVs have a positive break (from Adi) and the show for her.

I hope with more Adi scenes that he too will go up to Sugni's caliber.

OK, you do realize that Aditya is the nephew of TVS? That in my book is rather gross to be emotionally intimate with the uncle and then with his nephew? But some people don't have a problem when one woman goes with one brother and then after he dies, are intimate with the other brother...it is just not something that I support or like.

Given that, I am not sold or convinced by the premise you've set. It is not something that interests me or what I find unique or original. Adi does not offer the strength that you propose. He comes across as weak, fickle, impulsive and immature. The knight in shinning armor could be seen in someone like TVS but Aditya - hell no. I would rather Sugni see the ray of hope alone than with him as her partner or companion.

While TVS might be pushing her towards intimacy without marriage...I cannot stomach or will enjoy this Adi-Sugi romance...I literally cannot sit through scenes with them together. So forced and cliche.
