I think they may have changed it because the way Vikram was portrayed in the promos is really different from what he's like in the show. For example, in the shar dakhi (I'm not sure how it's spelled) promo, he is shown just like every other takur, dressed like them as well. Maybe the CV's see more potential and twists in Vikram-Sugni love story than in Adi-Sugni because if Adi were to fall in love with Sugni, that's typical. I'm sure the CV's are trying to make this show and the love story as unique as possible. Even the rain sequence was not that typical scene where the guy and the girl get close and all. That sequence also proves that Vikram has feelings for Sugni, he does love her.

I remember reading something similar to this also but I don't think he will be shown that way. If he is, he would be just another takur. There would be nothing unique in his character.
