Thank you for the update! I am far from a fan of romance, especially by way of rain or dream sequences...but three very small things stood out as very genuine in today's last scene...
1) The very basic O Re Piya instrumental...especially the beginning chords, it was so soothing...(another piece I love from the show is that absolutely melancholic tune...it's a violin, I think...fits with the rural pathos so beautifully...)
2) The way Sugni was blabbering and bubbling with things to say as per habit...and then once again as happens usually, she halts suddenly because she does realize that she's overstepped her place by speaking in such a manner in front of a thakur...and yet still she can't help it, so she blabbers some more...and then looks guilty again :) Sugni wouldn't be Sugni if she didn't do that.
3) The look and way a small smile starts coming on Vikram's face while he hears and sees Sugni fall all over herself as blabbers...this sparkling surprise that fills his eyes at her words and their speed...the most tiny of smiles at her exuberance...it's such a muted yet beautiful emotion...
The nuances that Varun and Gulki are able to put into and between these characters with their enactment is what gives glimpses of the potential and directions in which this relationship could be taken, even if it isn't romantic...in fact if there was no rain, if there was no dream, no cliched dupatta, it would have been far more genuine an encounter, another stepping stone in their interaction...an avenue for profound conversation...
