you know hindi serials always pull really silly stunts like showing couples in a week long unconsummated marriage being ordered by court to stay under the same house for 6 months to a year (the period is actually called a legal separation and no court can sentence two people to live in the same house under a democracy; at most they usually recommend counseling if children are involved)- that bit of unrealistic twist is EXACTLY what was needed in abeer and meher's marriage. the reasons for their separation were silly at best, egged on by unnecessarily vindictive adults who apparently had nothing better to do in their lives.
now having said that i really don't see any reason for meher to have hidden this truth from abeer. I'm currently pregnant and the doctors told me the child's conception date when i first went in for a test. surely abeer would be able to tell that they were together on that certain night. he is the hero so I'm presuming he's not evil and wouldnt just reject his kid out of spite. and he may not have been ready for a kid but i sincerely doubt he'd bail on the child. and even if he did, atleast meher would know what she's dealing with and noone would doubt the kid's paternity. i really think that its high time hindi serials stop with this nonsense of men refusing to believe the paternity of their own children because they doubt their wives. DNA tests can easily be done by the 6 week i think and you can trace conception date upon discovery of the pregnancy. I'm all for meher being with akshat cos SHE needed him but if it was because she needed to identify someone as her son's father then no. you were married so thats a lame reason (i don't think she needs a reason but hindi serials thrive on pretend morality) to lean on someone.
now coming to abeer, dude just shove the hell off. seriously his stalkerish behavior with meher and his petty behavior with akshat and his childish behavior with Ishaan is simply NOT cute. its one thing to be immature and emotionally driven and impulsive but he's now behaving like a child with no emotional maturity at all. its just simply unattractive. and since when did abeer start not getting along with children and being rude to them. they're going too far with his character sketch making him into a kitch cliched cartoon. introducing this new guy in meher's life for a jealousy track is fine, if its a jealous adult we are dealing with, not a stalkerish jealous child. this track is simply making him seem silly and petty and doing nothing for the audience who see him as meher's hero. he needs to grow up, get a job, get a life and move on. if meher hasn't moved on, well... then the ball is her court now and she can choose to stop you (from moving on), if her ego or anger is bigger than her love and she chooses to let you go then it wasn't worth it anyways.
