Not only did he make her vulnerable and then leave, he also allowed himself to believe she was a gold digger and made some pretty nasty accusations to that effect. After all they had been through, it's like he didn't even know her. 😭 It's not hard to see why she's shut herself off from so thoroughly.

What's really interesting is that many of us on the forum could see all of this through her behavior, and found her indifference to him very justifiable. For an audience member who likes suggestion, and to read between the lines, present Meher's actions were enough to get this across, but I think the wider audience needed this literal depiction of her devoted love and his promises to fully understand where her coldness towards him was coming from.

As long as they stick to their story, but making parts of it more literal to be accessible, I am good with it. It just affirms what I had already read into the character, and that is an awesome feeling as well 😊

How adorable were MehBeer today, so much in love <3

Meher was so glad that Abeer was the one who came forward though she kept pushing him away, he became the world to her. He became the companion she wanted to have, he made it out like he would be there with her through thick and thin and wouldn't turn out like her father and do what he did..only to know that at the time of need he won't be beside her.. it must have broken her And she must have felt so lonely ... This is something she can't forget neither forgive him for.

Yeah those gold digger accusations would been the straw that broke the camels back. It's is probably helpful for it to be laid so literally for the lay audience.

That's why she is so vociferous about not ever needing him again, about proving that she can live without him. If the show has time to develop it, meher herself will be the biggest hurdle to them getting together.
